Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead. And thanks to the mysterious stranger she met while chugging neon-colored cocktails, she wakes up with a decidedly unladylike thirst for blood.
Jane is now the latest recipient of a gift basket from the Newly Undead Welcoming Committee, and her life-after-lifestyle is taking some getting used to. Her recently deceased favorite aunt is now her ghostly roommate. She has to fake breathing and endure daytime hours to avoid coming out of the coffin to her family. She's forced to forgo her favorite down-home Southern cooking for bags of O negative. Her relationship with her sexy, mercurial vampire sire keeps running hot and cold. And if all that wasn't enough, it looks like someone in Half Moon Hollow is trying to frame her for a series of vampire murders. What's a nice undead girl to do?
Love in vein: bite into more of Jane Jameson's paranormal exploits.

"Hysterical laughs are the hallmark of this enchanting paranormal debut....Harper keeps the quips coming without overdoing the sarcasm, and her take on vampire lore will intrigue and entertain even the most jaded paranormal fan." (Publishers Weekly)
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.
I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
I absolutely love audible! I read constantly and there is nothing better than finding a new series to follow. I'm a syfy/fant kinda gal.
This was a decent book. I have to say it didn't really drag me into the series, but it was an easy, cute read.
I really liked how to seduce a naked warewolf. Found it on sale on one of those audible offers and really thought it was light and entertaining. This book was not quite as entertaining, but I still enjoyed it and think it is worth a listen.
My reading and listening tastes are eclectic.
I loved the reader and she did a great job with this book. I loved the story and the characters. I loved the situations. I laughed so hard at one part that people at the grocery store were staring. I really wanted to share the humor with them, but only one set of earphones and I was trying to get finished. The whole southern thing just adds to the book's humor. I live in Texas, and believe me, the southern rules of hospitality and mama manipulation are no different here than there. I felt I could drive and get to this place and meet these people. The romance is great and really well written and read.
it was witty and lighthearted. It was a funny, ironic take on the vampire idea.
a mix of twilight and a romantic comedy like while you were sleeping.
the main character Jane. She it all the jokes perfect and gave her a wonderful personality.
the characters are so great , their conversations a hoot and overall a book to make you smile and laugh outloud
This is an exceptional series that I seemed to miss. Who knew that a vampire could be just as funny as Stephanie Plum! The family drama reminds me so much of my own family that I often wonder if the author is related to me. I've had to stop driving several times just to pull over and laugh.
I love the family antics including her grandma, mom, and sister. It just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for book 5!
The book is read in an easy to follow fashion with great character development. I was captured from the very beginning.
I was very compulsive in listening to the entire series in a week and a half. I never went anywhere with out my ipod!
Well worth the purchase! I loved this series.
this book is in the top 10% of my books i just dont tell everyone that it a bit of a romance book so in the wold around me you have to be a girl or gay sine I'm niter i cant tell peple i heard it bad i know but i live in the south
it was just a fumy book i found my self laughing a lot in this book
Ronconi’s pulls of the southern drall very nicely
I loved the characters, the quirky dialog and the story line. It was a little sexually graphic for my tastes. Overall a great listen. Wouldn't recommend it for young listeners due to the sexuality.
Awesome! So glad I found this series!
I like that most everyone can see themselves in this book and laugh at the silly things that happen to all of us in a fantasy world....Light hearted and hilarious!
She portrays the characters so perfectly...You can immediately imagine what is going on in the book.
