Publisher's summary

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead. And thanks to the mysterious stranger she met while chugging neon-colored cocktails, she wakes up with a decidedly unladylike thirst for blood.

Jane is now the latest recipient of a gift basket from the Newly Undead Welcoming Committee, and her life-after-lifestyle is taking some getting used to. Her recently deceased favorite aunt is now her ghostly roommate. She has to fake breathing and endure daytime hours to avoid coming out of the coffin to her family. She's forced to forgo her favorite down-home Southern cooking for bags of O negative. Her relationship with her sexy, mercurial vampire sire keeps running hot and cold. And if all that wasn't enough, it looks like someone in Half Moon Hollow is trying to frame her for a series of vampire murders. What's a nice undead girl to do?

Love in vein: bite into more of Jane Jameson's paranormal exploits.

Critic reviews

"Hysterical laughs are the hallmark of this enchanting paranormal debut....Harper keeps the quips coming without overdoing the sarcasm, and her take on vampire lore will intrigue and entertain even the most jaded paranormal fan." ( Publishers Weekly)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!

I can not think of a better team than Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi! Molly's writing is the perfect mix of action, romance, humor, paranormal, and a great overall story. Always entertaining. Amanda's narration of this series is flawless! Her voices give life, personality and individuality to each character. I'm so glad I listened to this series, and am always looking forward to more! Its one I can always listen to over and over again, and never tire of. If I'm ever having a bad day- I turn to these two to cheer me up!

Entertaining and Fun

This was a fun story and had me hooked from the start. I found myself looking for tasks to do so that I could keep listening. I find that's hard to do with an audio book. But Jane's life turning from bad to worse, or from worse to better depending on perception was engaging. Amanda Ronconi brought the books to life. It was so good, that after listening to this story, I downloaded all the others in the series. I can't wait for the rest of her books to be in a audio format.

Hilarious!!

Where does Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It has been the best so Far, I had read other books by Molly Harper but I had never read this series. I didn't really have any expectations. The narrator blew me away, she fit the character so perfectly in my opinion, I've listened to the book a couple of times and every single time its just as funny.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the fact that Jane in my opinion wasn't perfectly, she was struggling with what happened to her. All the things she got herself into with out even being aware of it was so funny.

Which character – as performed by Amanda Ronconi – was your favorite?

Jane of course, but all of them were so good its hard to say which is my favorite.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh like no other book has made me laugh since.

Disappointed

Started amusing, became somewhat tedious. Ended up being annoying and a trifle absurd. Had some good points and I might try another book in the series. Perhaps the author will improve. Narration was well done.

GET THIS BOOK.

Any additional comments?

The other reviews said it was laugh-out-loud funny. Yes, yes it is! ...And sarcastic, and even a little sexy. The story was light without being too predictable or cliche. The pace was great. I was chuckling in my car and even sat in the garage waiting for a spot to pause so I could go in the house because it was so good.

The narrator is the absolute best I have heard. Hands down.

Just get this book already!
