Publisher's summary

Once a devoted children's librarian, Jane Jameson now works at a rundown occult bookstore. Once a regular gal, she's now a vampire. And instead of a bride, she's an eternal bridesmaid -- which leads her to question where exactly her relationship with her irresistibly sexy sire, Gabriel, is headed. Mercurial, enigmatic, apparently commitment-phobic vampires are nothing if not hard to read. While Jane is trying to master undead dating, she is also donning the ugliest bridesmaid's dress in history at her best friend Zeb's Titanic-themed wedding. Between a freaked-out groom-to-be, his hostile werewolf in-laws, and Zeb's mother, hell-bent on seeing Jane walk the aisle with Zeb, Jane's got the feeling she's just rearranging the proverbial deck chairs.

Meanwhile, Half Moon Hollow's own Black Widow, Jane's Grandma Ruthie, has met her match in her latest fiance. He smells like bad cheese and has a suspicious history of dead spouses. But Jane's biting her tongue. After all, would a nice girl really think she has a future with a vampire?

Such a fun series!

Loving this series. The characters are so engaging and the author is throwing mysteries in as well as family and relationship drama. Just entertaining all the way around.
Amanda Ronconi does a good job with the narration. She could put a little more emotion into Jane’s character, as she seems to sound the same when she’s happy or sad or being snarky. But she’s still fun to listen to.

Whyyyy did I wait so long to listen

Sometimes, I just don't know what is wrong with me. I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment of this series and this one is just as good if not better. I laughed, got pissed off, laughed some more. Point is, this book got a reaction out of me and not one of "hohum predictability". I just loved this book to pieces and I love the series so far. Everything down to the accents just tickled me pink. Love it, love it, love it.

Narrator was ok

I’m really enjoying this series; however, I don’t think that the narrator did a good job with the different voices. Especially the men’s voices! I think they should’ve had different narrators for different characters. The series is good though!

Oh Jane...she is soooo Funny!!!

Where does Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I liked it a lot, it is not my fave of Molly Harpers, but the story made me laugh, and I liked it enough to move on to book 3 and buy book 4....

What other book might you compare Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men to and why?

Jane's special sarcasm and attitude reminds me a lot of Cat from the night huntress series....just the character, not the stories....but if you Like Cat, you will Like Jane...

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

She is pitch perfect and really funny!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no, but i enjoyed it very much...

Any additional comments?

I do like this series, but not as much as the Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires, or Driving Mr Dead.... This second book made me giggle out loud almost all the way through, and I would recommend the series...

Get ready to fallen Love with dead men!

Would you listen to Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men again? Why?

I would listen to this book again in a heartbeat. I had this on my list to read then joined audio and decided to listen while I painted my kitchen. My 21 yr old daughter helped and we laughed so hard that we were sad when we were done painting and hadn't finished the book.

What other book might you compare Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men to and why?

Well, I would compare it to Queen Betsy in the first 3 or 4 books that were so funny. She just has a running dialogue in her head that cracks me up and actually reminds me of how i think at times. She isn't so serious.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first book I had ever heard her read and I was blown away by her performance. She picked up not only mood ,tone, accents but she went from one character to another seamlessly! Bravo Ms. Ronconi!!!!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!!!!!!!

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend any of Molly Harpers audio books. I actually prefer to listen to her books because of Amanda Ronconi's performance of the characters. Enjoy this light paranormal romance.
