WITH THIS RING, I THEE DEAD.
Just as Jane Jameson’s unlife seems to be stabilizing, fate sinks its fangs firmly into her butt. Despite her near-phobia of wedding planning, her no-frills nighttime nuptials to her sexy boyfriend, Gabriel, are coming along smoothly. That is, until she turns a fatally wounded teenage acquaintance, and the Council pronounces her responsible for the newborn vamp until he can control his thirst.
Jane’s kitchen barely holds enough Faux Type O to satiate the cute teen’s appetite and maintain Gabriel’s jealous streak at a slow simmer. As if keeping her hyperactive childe from sucking the blood out of the entire neighborhood isn’t enough to deal with, the persnickety ghost of Jane’s newly deceased grandma Ruthie has declared war on the fanged residents of River Oaks. Suddenly, choosing monogrammed cocktail napkins and a cake she can’t even eat seem downright relaxing in comparison.
Tensions inside the house are growing… and outside, a sinister force is aiming a stake straight for the center of Gabriel’s heart. Most brides just have to worry about choosing the right dress, but Jane fears that, at this rate, she’ll never make it down the aisle for the wedding all nice girls dream of.

The world of Jane is expanded. Previously minor characters are brought to the forefront and more about the supernatural is revealed, but Jane's wit and humor and unique take on life remain the same. A must-read for anyone who likes the series.
I love the reader, she really brings the story to life.
I really enjoyed Jamie, I hope we get to know more about him.
Amanda aways does a wonderful job. She's one of my favorite readers!
As a mother of a teenager I was able to relate to her issues with Jamie.
I am a retired Court Reporter and I LOVE books. All kinds of books but my favorites are mysteries and period books. I like civil war books and some biographies.
It's so rare to find a mystery/vampire/warewolves book that is so funny. The writer has a wonderful sense of humor. Loved it.
Reviewing Romance & Urban Fantasy
Molly Harper never fails to bring the snark and a pinch of sexy to her loveable characters. So I was excited to jump into another light and fun read with Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors.
Jane and the group are back for another fun filled mystery. This time around Jane is dealing with her own wedding planning issues, more dead relatives, and being a new mother so to speak.
Seems that someone always wants to kill or at least maim Jane. And she usually makes things worse by running off by herself to solve the mystery of who it is. But this time Jane is showing her maturity by letting her friends do the heavy lifting in the department of who wants Jane dead.
Dick nodded. "I was thinking official 'Keep Jane from Being Murdered Task Force' T-shirts.”
Jane gets to see how life is as a sire when she helps out a follow Half Moon Hollow citizen. And it’s funny as hell to see her and the gang deal with the new member to the family.
At some point, your child may challenge you to a fight. Try not to beat the childe too badly. Imagine having your mother knock you into unconsciousness. It would be emotionally scarring on several levels.

So if you are a fan of the series you will want to pick this one up if you have not already. And if you have not started the series I recommended to anyone that likes a fun paranormal light read with laughs on just about every page.
The Jane Jameson series has become my favorite series. When I need a laugh, Molly Harper and Jane Jameson always puts me in a better mood. Jane has again gotten herself into a mess without even trying. Nice Girls Don't Bite Their Neighbors is another winner. I can't wait for the next one. Amanda Ronconi does another GREAT job. Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi have become my favorites.
I would absolutely listen again (and probably will). I think this has been one of my favorites in the series. I love the sarcastic humor and loveable characters.
I love getting to know the characters. The addition of a new family member and the fun they have.
Oh, I always love Jane!
Yes, laughed out loud a lot. It is great when you are in the car and people look at you like you are crazy:)
If you haven't read this series and love female heroines that are funny and witty this is a great series for you!

First Thought when Finished: Jane + Being a Mom (Sire) = Priceless!
What I Loved: This is one of my favorite series on the planet. Molly Harper is just fantastic at combining humor, heart, and a little heart-beating action in her stories. In this particular entry into the series, she managed to make Jane grow up a bit without losing her sense of humor. The whole storyline of Jane becoming a Mom (sire) to a teenage vamp was just brilliance. She truly hit it out of the park with Jane trying not to sound like a mom and failing miserably. The best part, for me, was the ever-so-polite (and I mean it)redneck bad guy. I was rooting for everything to work out and Molly made it happen. I was just grinning ear to ear when the book ended.
What I Liked: We got to see more of Jane interacting with her family which is always a hoot. I like that they are such a big part of her life even if they don't see eye to eye. Plus, Jane has a fantastic group of friends that are around. I just really like when an author spends the time to make a character well-rounded with friends and family.
Final Thought: I do hope there will be more books in this series!
Audio specific review: At first I was not a fan of A.R.'s voices but now I can't imagine anyone else doing this series. She is fantastic at grabbing Jane's personality and making it shine!
As always, Molly Harper rules in dialogue! Her characters are so dimensional and easy to relate to. This book was laugh out loud funny and I am looking forward to the next in the series. New vamp Jamie was a wonderful addition to the crew, and gave us the opportunity to see Jane in a whole new light. That kept book 4 fresh and fun. The "someone is trying to kill me/us" theme was a little tired, but still worth it!
As in the last 3 books, Amanda Ronconi does an amazing job bringing voice to all the characters.
I wanted to be critical of this series, but I couldn't do it. I missed all of the characters so much before this book came out. And now I'm sad again. I may have to start the whole series over again. I loved these books. I laughed out loud so many times!!!
Well, since I need glasses in my everyday life, I actually prefer audiobooks to their printed versions.
...everything...it would take me too long to make a list...you'd have to listen to it and hear for yourselves
I've listened to the entire NGD series...it's pretty much the same...I mean, she's just the right performer for the whole series...
Yes... it made me laugh... a lot
I wonder if there will be a fith book to the series... or other short stories. I also wonder if audible is going to publish the short stories, too...
