Never Never, a novella series. Book one of three.
Best friends since they could walk. In love since the age of 14. Complete strangers since this morning. He'll do anything to remember. She'll do anything to forget. This novella is recommended for readers age 16+ due to mild language and sexual content.

"Never have I had my mind blown reading a book like I have reading Never Never. It was intense, sweet, completely unpredictable and utterly fascinating. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!" (The Book Avenue)
"Hoover and Fisher have combined their unique talents to deliver a deliciously twisted tale of deceit, love and friendship that keeps you guessing long after the heart-stopping end." (Vilma’s Book Blog)
"The evil queen and the good fairy of romance have come together, and the results are more than I could have ever asked for." (Holly's Hot Reads)
So unique. Never read anything so suspenseful yet enjoyable. Didn't foresee any of the twists and turns. Still heartwarming. WTF ending.
I love stories and traveling in a world beyond my own. I write them, read them, view them and now listen to them!
I think that looking at the context of what the book is trying to do is better than taking it at face value. The reviews I've that don't like it are looking at it very practically, instead of a cool what-if. If you read this thinking why are they doing this alone, then try looking at it more as a mystery you're trying to solve with them. Like the movie Memento.
I'll admit though, parts of the jealousy of the main male character and the snide bitterness of the main female had me eye-rolling here and there. All in all, the end had my intrigued.
The story and narration was good and I was very interested in finding out what happened to the characters, but out of principle alone, I decided against buying "part 2" and "part 3" because this SHOULD have been a purchase of ONE book instead of forcing the reader to PAY for very short mini-parts.
Read/Listen, Review and Recommend!
I waited to read these until they were all done, so I could just read them all together… So glad I did, because that cliffy was MEAN.
Charlie & Silas have lost their memories of themselves, and each other but also their family and friends. Yet somethings remain. Lyrics to songs, names of celebrities, driving, password for a laptop and so forth but nothing of who or what happened to them to make them this way. And it’s not easy “waking up” alone.
‘I close my eyes and pull away from her. I run my hands through her hair, the frustration of the day catching up to me. I can make light of it all with my jokes. I can dismiss her theories – from tarot readings to fairy tales – simply because it doesn’t make sense to me. But she’s right. None of this makes sense.’
They know they are a couple by the way people talk about them but they remember nothing, but the feeling when they are together those confuse them. It’s a pull like none other they are drawn to each other for no other reason that it feels right.
‘When we lock eyes, I feel like I’m meeting a brand new side of her. A side of her without resolve. A vulnerable side. A side that’s allowing herself to feel something. I want to grin and ask her how it feels to be in love, but I know teasing her in this moment would piss her off and she’d walk away and I can’t let that happen.’
Book 2 Here I come!
I know that the author has written 3 short stories to complete the series. And while I love 3 part stories, this one is so short! I'm enjoying the story and the readers, but I'm annoyed I had to buy 3 different books. If 3 books are going to total to about 10-12 hours, offer an option to buy all at once.
I love a good book, but never have time to sit and read. Audible is wonderful for people like me. Even though my kids think I am a nerd for always having my headphones on, someday they will wish their college books were on audible!
Not sure whats happening to Silas and Charlie, but the cliffhanger at the end makes me thankful I don't have to wait for the aecond book to come out.
I really liked this book, but hate the divided book. It should have screamed at me when the narrator said part 1, but I was holding out maybe there are sections to this book. Is this good book here to rope me into having to buy the other parts?
I really became entranced by the fact the character and the readers know about the same things. We learn about their lives as they do I wanted to get to the next section to learn more: more about them, more about why, more about their relationship.
I find the conversations between Silas and Charlie humorous. The fake it till you make it attitude is fun and well written.
-Fair amount of Language
-Sex only talked about
-Cheaters all around
I'm editing just finished a library copy of part 2, if I thought yelling would help I would. Second is good and just as frustrating. Can't wait to read the next one!
