Good but not what I was expecting

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Anti-climatic? I mean it was a good ending but I prefer endings that give you more of a look into a HEA. It was probably a more realistic ending though so I guess I can't complain too much.

Any additional comments?

The book definitely took a different direction from what I expected based upon its description. It was good but oddly "deep". I thought the focus of the book would be on the romance but it was more so about the main character coming to terms with certain aspects of herself and her life.

Wow!

This book made me have all the feels! I was so broken hearted for Olivia. Patrick’s an butthole! Alex is so swoon worthy and sweet. However, everyone has secrets and secrets can break the greatest bonds.
Narration was good.
I love how you saw so many sides to all the characters. This was just an amazing story!

My Opinion of Naked

What made the experience of listening to Naked the most enjoyable?

I liked the way the narrator changed the sound of each voice. The storyline kept my attention.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Naked?

When Alex first made love to Olivia.

Have you listened to any of Lauren Fortgang’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, I haven't, but I do plan to. She made the story come to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, but only because of the length of it. It was difficult deciding. where to stop, but very easy to start up again without feeling lost. I like that.

Any additional comments?

I would highly recommend this book. There is some reference to homosexuals, but nothing that graphic. Very tastefully done.

I LOVE THIS BOOK

THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST ROMANCE BOOKS I LISTENED. MEGAN HART IS AMAZING. THE NARRATOR REALLY DIN A GOOD JOB WITH THE CHARACTORS AND THE STORY LINE WAS INTERESTING.

The book's description concerning the plot is deceptive because it implies that the heroine knows about Alex's relationship with the married couple from the beginning. Interesting somewhat disturbing romance about accepting people for who and what they are to you without preconceived judgement given by society. Interesting but had to read more than once to understand all the nuances.

What made the experience of listening to Naked the most enjoyable?

The performer had a pleasant voice, differentiated between characters and the story itself.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the fact that this was an interracial love story that addressed the race, but wasn't burdened by it. Also, the title says it all- what made tge story naked was the vulnerability of the characters. Yes, there were some erotic parts, this is Megan Hart afterall, but again, it was the character's soul that was layed bare.

It was a process for me to purchase this book. I read some of the reviews and they were very mixed. Still, I plunged ahead and made the purchase and I am glad that I did. First, I wasn't simply looking for smut-I've read a few Megan Hart books and she doesn't do that anyway. I was looking for a well written interracial fiction and I got it. The fact that Ms. Hart is non-black or biracial author had no bearing on the authenticity of the character. The fact that the Hero was gay/bisexual? Well unfortunately, lots of people are dealing with that very issue. The spoiler that they lived happily ever after with her becoming pregnant? Completely False. That said, here is what you are going to get:
A story with erotic elements about a woman who is struggling to fit in-with her family, herself, her friends, in relationships, who enters an unlikely relationship with a man who could be the biggest mistake of her life or her biggest joy. In order to find out which it will be, both of them had to bare themselves and become unbelievably Naked.

Yes, I actually just recommended it this morning to a friend as well as the preceding Alex Kennedy book, Tempted.

When Alex proposes to Olivia.

The impromptu photo shoot between Olivia and Alex when they are painting the apartment.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but couldn't as I was listening at work.

Any additional comments?

I loved this book and am actually listening to it for a second time. It didn't dawn on me that this was THE Alex from Tempted until he was talking to Jamie on the phone and then it clicked with me. That made me rush home and listen to Tempted all over again. Love the Megan Hart books and hope she does a sequel to Naked so that we know what becomes of Olivia and Alex.

This is the first romance that I've read where the man was bisexual, even though the author never used the word. I thought it was really interesting. I wish the narrator had been a black woman since the main character was black well biracial.

I enjoyed it

Was really hot in parts and was quite "real" her fears of his preferences and the wonder about what was stronger and finally admitting what was her ultimate fear at the end...I got it. There are some things that was introduced in the book that seemed to have no purpose but could have been a pivotal area yet was just dropped.

Love does prevail!

When I started reading this and I noticed that Alex is someone I liked from another story I was excited to see he found love. I’m glad the ending wasn’t sad because I feel like they both needed someone to love them the way they both needed to be loved. (Unconditional and without prejudice) I am rooting for them and their story.
