    Story
"A classic Miss Read novel with great characters"
Would you consider the audio edition of Mrs Pringle to be better than the print version?

    the same

What did you like best about this story?

the growing buildup of the interseting characters in the village

What does Gwen Watford bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the English accents which helped to bring the different characters to life

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    over several sittings

    Any additional comments?

I enjoyed these old , almost historical, books which gave a great portrait of a vanished rural life

I really want to buy more books but too many US ones I love UK narrators. Can you get some more Eleanor Bron, Gwen Watford, Jenny Agutter?

    "Mrs Pringle"

Mrs Pringle is my favourite character in this series. I think we have all met someone like her. A solid, old busybody who is full of opinions yet kind underneath it all. This book is about her foibles, her history and an insight to her character. Fantastic. MORE PLEASE.

    "Great character study!"

If you like Miss Read books you will love this one. This grumpy old school cleaner is brought to life by the voice of Gwen Watford. A simple tale told simply well.
