Love a good intrigue!

Harlequin Intrigues always give a good mystery with their romance, and BJ Daniels is a wonderful author. This is part of her Whitehorse Montana series and anything cowboy also is a big draw for me, so it's a win win. This story gives us Rory Buchanon who is being harrassed to try and sell her ranch. She is struggling to keep it, but it has been in her family for years and she is doing her best to try and stay afloat. When it appears she is having trespassers, she goes to the local police department and her long time friend comes out to try and determine the culprit. Next to her ranch is Princess Evangeline and she is the one trying to buyout all the surrounding ranches. Evangeline holds a secret about her groom Devlin Barrow, the man that Rory happens to help out and end up in a one night stand with. Now with this groom in her life and a stalker she hasn't been able to identify, who is Rory able to trust? And how will this secret Evangeline is holding effect all? Murder, love and greed is all around and Daniels builds the suspense til the end. A very fun listen.

Abby Craden is a wonderful narrator, and she brought this western, romantic suspense to life. With her experienced ability, she brought foreign accents in with seamless transitions. I love her male voices and she shines with this story.

sweet little twist on royalty

This is the first story I've listened to by this author and narrator. I read the summary and it sounded interesting.This was a great listen. Some parts of the plot are easily figured out and you want to see how they actually played, but others were a surprise. All in all a great sound story with character and world building all well formed. Abby did a great job. A couple of times I was annoyed at the narration, but you could distinctly recognize the male and female roles. You were able to feel the intensity when the plot was ramping up by use of inflection, and speed. If there was a second story to this book, I would definitely add that to my listening list.

I wish all her books were on audible! Can we make that happen. I read them over and over again.
I loved listening to this book even though I've read it a few times on Kindle.
