Mackenzie's Pleasure

After the 100's of books I've read, Zane has to be my favorite hero. He's everything we look for in a hero. Barrie is one lucky girl. Being able to listen to this book is a big plus. Always on my ipod and listen to it often. Love this book.

Very entertaining but a lot of graphic sex scenes

This is the story of Zane and Barrie, two more enjoyable characters in the series. It has a lot of suspense and mystery that is very entertaining. But there are a lot of descriptive sex scenes. Not my thing and it got very tiresome. The story and the characters are so enjoyable that I still gave it 4 stars. The narration is very good, the males voices really good, the female voices not so much. But still a good narration.

Zane and Barrie

Loved it. Loved their story when I read it years ago and loved listening to it being read. The narrator's voice was wonderful and made the characters come to life.

Great Love Story. No superfluous sex, but plenty where appropriate.

What did you like best about this story?

Great Love story with lots of action and suspense.

Which scene was your favorite?

Hero and Heroine hiding out from terrorists which was where their love began to grow.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Linda Howard always has scenes that make me laugh and this book was no exception. Loved the scene where their daughter shows her daring taking after both her mother and father as well as her Grandfather and Uncles.

Any additional comments?

This was the first book I read by Linda Howard which inspired me to buy every book she ever wrote. Hearing it read aloud by a professional, only made me appreciate it more.

Nice story. I liked it.

One of my favorite Linda Howard books

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A different narrator. Dennis Boutsikaris just doesn't cut it. I could listen to about five minutes before I HAD to stop.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The story is fine. This is one of my favorite Linda Howard books...just not this narrator.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His accent, his tone of voice. He made everything sound like a joke.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was really disappointed and then I got angry. I was expecting a great listen. Instead I felt I wasted my money on this book because I can not make myself listen to it.
