I’m addicted

Although I can’t stand that the narrator using the same voice for everyone, I’m completely addicted to this series. John and Torment’s relationship and joint pain has literally made me cry more than once. This series brings tears, laughter, frustration and a whole lot of hot SEX! I’m here for all of it!!!

tragically beautiful

The next addition to the Black Dagger Brotherhood's story remains true to form for the others in this series with fully well rounded, flushed out, flawed (deeply), and honest characters struggling with inner battles, external battles, and literal battles. Holds true to the frank honesty seen in the others in this series with the brutality of coping mechanism created in surviving violence not being erased by the kiss of truelove but with a daily struggle. The violence and sexy and language hold true the previous novels being aligned perfectly with the realistic voices of the characters, scene, and situations. Terrific read.

Great Story... However... (Spoilers)

The story was great, however Fury has exasperating! I mean man up and make a decision already. I really like that J.R. did a great job intertwining other characters stories. If the book was only focused on Fury and his indecision I probably would not have finished it. Im excited to see where John's and Lash's stories go!

A ROMANCE THAT IS ACTUALLY A STORY WITH DEPTH!

If you could sum up Lover Enshrined in three words, what would they be?

Author can write! Okay thats three words but what I mean is "JR Ward knows how to write a story!"

Who was your favorite character and why?

Hard to pick...so I won't

What does Jim Frangione bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I think the narrator it good at making the characters individuals.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

I wouldn't make a movie it would ruin the book(s)

Any additional comments?

I read some of the reviews and got a bit scared I would not enjoy this book as much as the others but I have to say I am glad I didn't let my fear stop me. I love that JR Ward actually builds a story, each book has added more and more to the story. It is not just hot and heavy sex but actually has substance, not saying there is no sex but rather that is not the only thing her books are about. You get to know and understand the world the characters live in, their friends, families and coworkers, making the story have depths. I love reading romance stories that have substance and this book along with the others that I have read, give me that. I think reading them in order is really important as they help you understand the whole picture.

I LOVE BDB.... BUT.....

This is the first of this genre that I've really gotten into, thanks to audibles escape program, and I have to say I really LOVE the whole bdb series so far!! ive been on a binder up until now...BUT, since the escape stops with this book I'm considering if I should use my credits to continue or not...
about this story:
I honestly didn't really get into cormea and phurys love story... like AT ALL. I honestly cared way more about JM than the actual "main plot"... i don't know, it was just hard to care when it didn't seem like either of the MCs cared either! ughhh so I just dont know if I should shelve it or roll the dice and continue..
idk maybe I should see what else there is before using precious credits going forward 🤔
I guess we'll see, but out of everyone thus far this book was my LEAST favorite.

Book Six - A significant change in direction

While this book is Fhury's story, there is a whole lot of secondary lines developing behind the main thread. And the main thread is a doozy in itself, making significant changes in "the fundamental rules" laid for the fictional world of the brotherhood. There are game changers in this book that I did not see coming, and I'm excited for the next in the series.

Fantastic Author & Fantastic Series

Sometimes a person reads an author and is so captivated by that author a need to devour everything they have ever written arises. This is one of those rare and precious authors. The Black Dagger series is worth a read and a re-read. She crosses boundaries of age, sex and violence with delicate precision. To say this series of books are frantic page turners is not even adequate to express how my friends (and me) were not able to put these books down to do normal life stuff. Enjoy and share with others this fabulous set of books from this extremely talented author.

Another hit!

I was worried about Jim Frangione being able to stay with the books and SO glad he has. The performance is wonderful, as is the writing. These books make my commute tolerable!
