I love j.r ward and the bdb series! I am no longer able to read so I am now using audible..I love the story line..I am having to get used to hearing my books read..I was disappointed with the pronunciation of some of the words and it kind of irritated me but overall I loved it!

On the fence here
I knew the series would be focused on males but didn’t expect the first couple to barely get a mention in subsequent stories. I’m enjoying the through-line urban fantasy story more than the romance. This one dives into abuse and while that’s an important topic, I don’t know that it’s what I crave in my fiction. I’m going to move ahead one more book, but I cringe bc it’s “Butch focused” and he’s my least favorite character so far.
I like the world the author created, I guess I wish she focused more on it and less on relationships bc their interpersonal issues become repetitive.

new eyes
Ive been a BDB fan for a while now, I absolutely loved the audio version. i feel like i picked up on a lot of things i missed while reading. plus its been ages since I first read. going back and re reading from the beginning (Wraths book) is like falling in love with the series all over again!!
