Publisher's summary

Number one bestselling author Janet Evanovich teams up with award-winning author Dorien Kelly to deliver a sparkling novel of romantic suspense, small-town antics, secretive sabotage, and lots and lots of beer

Kate Appleton needs a job. Her husband has left her, she's been fired from her position as a magazine editor, and the only place she wants to go is to her parents' summer house, The Nutshell, in Keene's Harbor, Michigan. Kate's plan is to turn The Nutshell into a Bed and Breakfast. Problem is, she needs cash, and the only job she can land is less than savory.
Matt Culhane wants Kate to spy on his brewery employees. Someone has been sabotaging his company, and Kate is just new enough in town that she can insert herself into Culhane's business and snoop around for him. If Kate finds the culprit, Matt will pay her a $20,000 bonus. Needless to say, Kate is highly motivated. But several problems present themselves. Kate despises beer. No one seems to trust her. And she is falling hard for her boss.

Can these two smoke out a saboteur, save Kate's family home, and keep a killer from closing in…all while resisting their undeniable attraction to one another? Filled with humor, heart, and loveable characters, Love in a Nutshell is delicious fun.

Pretty good romance

A well paced, quick romance. The characters weren’t very deep but you still feel the chemistry

I enjoyed the book.

I really liked this book. It didn't have as much of the quirky humor that I have come to expect from a book with Janet Evanovich's name on it, but I still really enjoyed listening to it.

Great new characters

What made the experience of listening to Love in a Nutshell the most enjoyable?

Lorelei King is awesome as always. New interesting characters with just enough mystery to keep it from being to surgary romance.

Love triumphs

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes

Who was your favorite character and why?

The male lead - so patient, confident and understanding. He was kind of an unbelievable character in his ability to rationalize all of the incidents taking place at the brewery. But it was a feel good novel at its best.

Light and fun story

Sometimes you just want a good story and like-able characters. To me, this is such a book. I’m recovering from an auto accident and just wanted to relax and be entertained. I am now. I recommend this book if you’re in the mood to relax and grin inside and out.

Delightful describes the Nutshell

Lorelei King once again is the speaker for an audiobook. I love her voice inflection and the way that she brings characters to life. this is a marvelous book and it has a little bit of everything. our heroine Kate does what she needs to to hold on to the family home and hopes of turning it into a bed-and-breakfast gets fired from a job and forces a man to hire her at his Brewery. the rest you'll just have to listen to for yourselves but I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

good listen

Excellent story. Ending should have been more dramatic. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish the male voices from female ones.
