Publisher's Summary

A determined young lady vows to give one of London's infamous rakes his comeuppance - but when the rogue turns the tables, who truly learns a lesson in love?

The ton gossips call him "Saint" - but the Marquis of St. Aubyn has well earned his reputation as London's perfect scoundrel. Evelyn Ruddick knows she should avoid him at all costs - but the strikingly beautiful lady wants to aid the children of the Heart of Hope Orphanage, and he heads the board of trustees. Evie is determined to teach the charming, arrogant man a lesson in compassion, but it won't be so easy - especially since his touch is setting her desire aflame, making Evie yearn to submit to his passionate instruction...

The idea of joining in her "project" is unthinkable, but this enchantress refuses to give up! So what else is there for a self-respecting rake to do but seduce the lady? Yet soon it is he who is beingseduced by Evie's tender heart and fiery blushes. Could the temptation of long, passionate nights in her arms bring about the impossible? Could the disreputable Saint at long last be reformed?

Take more Lessons in Love.

"My best top 5 of all times"

I can not say how much I enjoyed this book. Not only witty and clever storyline and most amusing characters, but I could not for the life of me guess what was to happen next. Suzanne Enoch is now one of my favorite writers. If you don't purchase this book I can tell you it will be a great loss for you. Incredibly engaging to the point I did not want to let it finish by pausing and engaging in other activities as to prolong my pleasure. Absolutely enchanted. Narration was also done very nicely. A perfect ten for both writer and narrator. Thank you both for adding fun and color to my life through this book

"great story but didn't like the audible version"
Would you try another book from Suzanne Enoch and/or Tavia Gilbert?

The story is fantastic, but I couldn't bear listening to the audible version. The narrator mispronounced the names, and tried way to hard to put inflection into the words. The voice and accent she used for the male character was awful. He was a great character, and the voice she gave him sounded like a whining, condescending loser. I wish I'd have listened to the "sample" before I bought the audible book.

    "FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!"

If you like historical romance novels - this is one of the best I've ever heard. I laughed out loud several times and although I never cried, I was seriously worried for heroine. This book is just fantastic. The narrator is excellent. She made the characters come to life.

    "Not a pleasant read"
Would you try another book from Suzanne Enoch and/or Tavia Gilbert?

From SE yes but the male characters are so strong in this story that a male narrator is mandatory. TG will be excellent in a less dark story.

Has London's Perfect Scoundrel turned you off from other books in this genre?

No. But, in the future, when I feel the story is abusive to women, or it just isn't an enjoyable read, I will not continue. It would have been lighter if the girls had planned and executed some "educational" exercises for Saint (lame) and added some lightheadedness.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tavia Gilbert?

    Nicholas Boulton, Timothy West

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from London's Perfect Scoundrel?

    Too many to list

    Any additional comments?

I was so disappointed. I read this straight through hoping things would improve (esp. after half point). But I was determined to read book 3 but there is no AUDIBLE with it so I am finished with this author.

    "Not this audible version"
Would you try another book from Suzanne Enoch and/or Tavia Gilbert?

Minus the sexual content, this book should be in the youth category.
Tavia Gilbert's narration was just over the top horrible, over dramatized, male lead sounded old and very affected. Will not purchase or borrow another book narrated by Ms. Gilbert.

Would you ever listen to anything by Suzanne Enoch again?

This story had so many holes and even included today's slag words and terms.

How could the performance have been better?

Tone down the drama, be consistent with an English accent and learn how to do a male voice. Honestly, that's just the tip.

What character would you cut from London's Perfect Scoundrel?

A character does not need to be cut but rather the services of a good editor and narrator
    are needed.

    Any additional comments?

Wish I hadn't used a credit on this book. Total disappointment. Should have known better when the reviews are extreme opposites.

Might have been a better story to read as the narration was bad. Mediocre read.

    "ok"

This book is an erotic historical romance novel.

No this book had me more lost than anything else. sorry.

Marquis of St. Aubyn aka saint doesn't do anything unless it benefits him, there is always a price but when he meets Eve he begins to see things in a different light.

Evelyn Ruddick is a proper lady and wants to become involved with homeless children. When she meets a very famous Saint she begins to change not only the children's lives but a man she thought she could never love.

    "Returned"

To be fair to the story I will tell you that although I found the beginning to be slightly dull it was not so dull as to deserve to be returned outright. It may have progressed to that point later but I was unable to get past listening to the first couple chapters. So I rated the story a 3. I absolutely could not stand the narrator and that is why I returned before finishing. She did well enough with the females but the men were atrocious. As a romance novel part of the draw is falling a little in love with the main characters yourself. There was absolutely no way for me to do that as all the men sounded like women. The male leads voice was like nails on chalkboard. He made Bonnie Charlie from the show version of Outlander seem butch. Just the most sissy sounding pretentious jerk with a prostrate problem involving a stick. Maybe I will look for a paper version at a library and give it another chance. Definitely a big no on the audiobook.

    "Narrator's Male voice is Terrible"

This is one of my favourite books. I have read it more than once. For that reason I rated the story 5 stars.. When I saw this on sale I was super excited, snatched it up and took a listen... OY! The voice used for St. Aubyn was TERRIBLE!!! It sounded like the wicked witch from the wizard of Oz. The Narrator did a decent job for Evelyn but I had to stop listening.. only made it too chapter 4. I couldn't take it any more. St. Aubyn is one of my all time favourite leading men.. and he was being ruined! I would reccomend picking up this book in kindle or paperback.. but skip the audio version.
