Publisher's summary

It's been 10 years since clean-cut, sexy-as-hell police officer Todd Keenan had a white-hot fling with Erin Brown, the provocative, wild rocker chick next door. Their power exchange in the bedroom got under his skin. But love wasn't in the cards just yet.... Now, life has thrown the pair back together. But picking up where they left off is tough, in light of a painful event from Erin's past. As Todd struggles to earn her trust, their relationship takes an unexpected and exciting turn when Todd's best friend, Ben, ends up in their bed - and all three are quite satisfied in this relationship without a name.

As the passion they share transforms Erin, will it be enough to help her face the evil she thought she had left behind?

Critic reviews

"In a word, this book is amazing. All three characters are magnetic and thoroughly realistic. They're expertly woven into a roller-coaster story that will have you crying one moment, aroused the next and laughing with glee at each triumphant step along the way." ( Romantic Times)

PHEW - A SIZZLING SENSUAL MÉNAGE LISTEN

This listen starts off in the usual way of a hot n heavy erotic romance novel between Todd and Erin however you soon find that the chemistry, history and interactions that the lovers and all the other likeable characters have with one another make this a really passionate compelling book.

Not only passionate in the sexual erotic way but also passionate about their feelings, hurts, dreams, desires as we see the anguish, pain and suffering Todd and Erin went through when each of their lives took different paths with disastrous and moving consequences during the decade apart since their initial hopeful two month affair.

However, when reunited their sexual chemistry soon ignites and along with them a close personal friend, Ben, is brought into their relationship which only strengthens the bonds of love as the three embark on an unusual, usually frowned on but ultimately satisfying, giving, touching, tender, loving and harmonious domestic relationship that becomes so much deeper than just friends with benefits.

Worth a credit? If you like an erotic romance with a twist of bdsm, that's well written and sensual but is also a compassionate listen that has a wealth of emotional depth then this book is for you - and is a definite creditworthy addition to my library and a good start to a new series.

I need more stars!

My only complaint is the narrator. I didn't enjoy her male voices. I actually think Audible should of used Justine O'Keef on this one. But this book is so good and the narrator didn't ruin it. I would of just been in pure listening ecstasy if Justine did it. Anyway, the sexual chemistry was off the charts! The story between the characters was very emotional intertwined with family tragedy and love. I would of given it 10 stars, thats how much I enjoyed this one. That says allot for me because this is a one woman and two men relationship. If you follow my reviews you know I'm "Old School", LOL, and prefer the one woman, one man relationships the best. Let me say again, I really liked this one. I enjoyed being swept away into this fantasy story and could not stop listening. Word of caution, explict sexual content.

It was good but I was expecting great

I read a lot of highly recommended reviews for this book on the Goodreads website. Honestly, I liked the book but didn't love the book. It was hot in some places but I still didn't connect with the characters.

Wow, just wow

This book was very interesting, it wrapped you up and took you for a ride. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is for two reasons, 1, sometimes it was really tough to know who was talking and 2, it made me cry.

Overall it was a happy book, 99% was about boy meets girl boy gets scared boy runs. Then boy meets same girl 10 years later and doesn't want to run again....he ran because he was scared of who he was, some people like kink, some people think kink is a bad thing, when your brain says kink is bad and your body says kink is good it can make you run. Once he grew up he knew what he wanted...and in exploring what he wanted and what she wanted a third person was invited in....and the steamy scenes melted my ear phones! I could not listen to this book without earphones because oh my oh my HOT.

Some people have hot button issues and this book has a few people won't like, so to save audible all the returns I hope you read this review. If man/man upsets you greatly, don't get this book, it was light but it was there. If you have ever expereinced the death of a child don't get this book. For everyone else who likes a steamy book with a great plot then go for it, it really was good, number 2 is already downloaded!

A Great Book Ruined by a Horrible Narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend that they read this book first before buying audio version. I love audiobooks, I have over 600. Narration can make a mediocre book excellent and can ruin an excellent book. But everyone has different tastes for narration. I found her narration to be overly dramatic and over-the-top. Her male voices were just horrible for me.

What did you like best about this story?

I love Lauren Dane's books. This series is one of my favs. She creates great characters, they are very realistic and sympathetic.

How could the performance have been better?

A different narrator would have improved this book greatly for me. I won't be able to finish listening to this book. The narration is just to painful to listen to for me. I'm glad I have the kindle version.

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

This was my second time listening to this audiobook because I remembered loving this story so much!
And this time I loved it all of again! This book has some hard situations, it has a great love story, it has hot sex and yes it has a Triad!!! SOLD!

I loved Erin, she is so unique, honest and not shy. She has such a serious broken heart that you wonder if she will ever get past it. Todd finally decides to stop hiding who he really is and is exactly what Erin needs. These two have great chemistry and the D/s thing down perfectly, I say that because they are great at keeping it to the bedroom. Then comes Todd's best friend, He makes this great relationship Perfect! This is the book I recommend to everyone who's looking to dive into the MM genre slowly.

The narration is a hard thing for me to review because I LOVE Lucy Rivers but this is not her best work. I think maybe it was when she was new to narration because if I rated the narration of this book a 2, I would rate all of her new work a 5 for sure.

NO! STOP! JUST STOP IT!

Holy crap this was bad! I want to give this novel no stars at all but Audible won't let you write a review with out putting at least 1 stupid star.
I didn't make it past the first 15 minutes!
I have been a faithful Audible listener since 2007, have some where around 300 titles, and have NEVER EVER heard a narrator this atrociously terrible. I cannot for the life of me understand how Ms. Rivers is employed as a narrator OR what the producers were smoking when hiring her! I don't even believe this story could be that great if the producers and publishers could care so little on the performance.
Another thing to incriminate this novel has the cover as seen on Audible is the same as Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning, which is not only a better story with a superior narrator but was released on audio first. The lack of effort put into this title is just pathetic.
Want to know the really sad part, I was out of credits and bought this one :'(
I saw an Audible commercial the other day stating if you don't like your selection they'll refund you, which I hadn't heard of before and really hope that doesn't just apply to first time listeners. I really don't even want the money, just an in-store credit to pick something worth the dollars spent.

Narrator is one of the worst I've heard

What didn’t you like about Lucy Rivers’s performance?

Lucy Rivers should not be a narrator. She is one of the worst I have ever heard. At times, it was hard to follow the story because of the way it was read. She should not be in the business of narrating audio books.

Any additional comments?

I like erotica, but this book was missing it. It ended up being a menage, with very, very little M/M. It missed it completely.

The storyline was good, but so much was missing that it ended up being somewhat dull. I won't be buying the other books in the series, especially since they are narrated by Lucy Rivers

NARRATION NARRATION NARRATION

Any additional comments?

I am half way through listening to this book...they should take her "Narration Card" away indefinately!!! She was just horrible. I can hardly finish listening to these phony "Valley Girl" voices!!

Three isn’t a Crowd

Todd, Erin, Ben

It’s utterly sad what Erin has been through. My heart hurts for her and all she has been through and will go through. It’s not something you can just get over. But she has the wonderful support of her family and a few close friends.

Todd has a hard time coming to terms with his who and what he likes is. He and Erin were once an item then he shied away.
10 years and a lot of hurt and broken relationships and he has found his way back to Erin but it’s more, his best friend Ben also comes in to play.
When feelings become more for all three of them.

I love that all 3 of these characters communicate. They don’t judge each other. But they talk things through and are there for one another. There isn’t the drama it’s just a story of second chances and opening yourself up to love and to be loved no matter who is the one getting and giving the love.

Loved this book, and will keep on to the next cause Brody! :)
