"The action and sex come fast and furious.... Strong world-building, vivid personalities and the distinctive cultures of each of the various paranormal strains combine for a rich narrative, and Arthur's descriptive prose adds texture and menace." (Publishers Weekly)
I wished for a sequel back in 2009 and I got more than I asked for. I like these books. A little kinky, but I like the story behind all the sex!
Not to fond of this narrator really, but the book is good. The other narrator in the first book did a lot better, I wish these books had some sound effects to them I think that would be awesome.
The narrator just isn't good in this book. Some of the guys sound like girls and the girls sound like guys! I had a hard time following this book because of the narrator, which is too bad because I really enjoyed the first book.
I love this series and read it before I ever listened to it. The stories are always interesting and the characters amusing.
The narrator is ok. Her voice isn't very annoying, although she doesn't have much of an Australian accent. It would have been better if they had stuck with Justine Eyre, who narrated the first book in the series and has a voice more akin to the one I picture for Riley. She also has a stronger accent.
Other than that, this audiobook is really good and I highly recommend it.
I listened to the 1st book in the series and it was pretty good. Then I downloaded this book, and the narration was awful. After hearing this book I actually wasn't going to continue with the series. It took me over a month to even consider the books.. luckily I was able to check the books out at the library and they were really good. I recommend the books but the audio-books not so much.
