Publisher's summary

A laird trapped between centuries...

Enchanted by a powerful spell, Highland laird Drustan MacKeltar slumbered for nearly five centuries hidden deep in a cave, until an unlikely savior awakened him. The enticing lass who dressed and spoke like no woman he'd ever known was from his distant future, where crumbled ruins were all that remained of his vanished world.

Drustan knew he had to return to his own century if he was to save his people from a terrible fate. And he needed the bewitching woman by his side.

A woman changed forever in his arms....

Gwen Cassidy had come to Scotland to shake up her humdrum life and, just maybe, meet a man. How could she have known that a tumble down a Highland ravine would send her plunging into an underground cavern - to land atop the most devastatingly seductive man she'd ever seen? Or that once he'd kissed her, he wouldn't let her go?

Bound to Drustan by a passion stronger than time, Gwen is swept back to 16th-century Scotland, where a treacherous enemy plots against them...and where a warrior with the power to change history will defy time itself for the woman he loves.

Great Scot! Don't miss our other titles in the Highlander series.

Surprisingly delightfiul

What made the experience of listening to Kiss of the Highlander the most enjoyable?

Its surprising humor and intricate plot.

What did you like best about this story?

That it kept me guessing. I got this on a whim. I thought it would be a laugh, and it was, in a good way. The characters were enjoyable and they got the time travel physics correct. What a pleasant surprise.

What about Phil Gigante’s performance did you like?

I usually feel like when men try to do women's voices it leaves them seeming shallow or dim witted. I didn't mind his at all.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Trying not to spoil anything.. I loved the way they described her after they are pulled apart closer to the end. It was very well done.

Any additional comments?

This one is def worth a credit. What a fun ride

Play it faster.

I like the story it’s sweet and I love a good time travel romance but the story is read so slowly for dramatic effect that I have to listen at 1.25 speed. Other than that it’s a very easygoing tale with no real high stakes so no suspense which makes for a very calming listen. Well, calming if you don’t mind sex scenes.

Thoroughly delightful.

This book is entertaining from beginning to end. The time travel adds an interesting twist and presents more of a challenge in. the story. Likely one I will read again and again.

Sensual, mysterious, sexy

I read this novel myself, some years ago and was intrigued. The narrator did a good job EXCEPT I did not at all care for the voice interpretation of Gwen. I kept picturing Madam Dame and Mrs. Doubtfire. The character Gwen, was a young, brilliant, energetic woman, and he made her sound old and frumpy. This is the reason I gave 3 stars for performance. Every time I heard "Gwen's" voice I frowned. Besides that, I thought his narrating was acceptable.

Highlanders

It’s a wonderful story. Has great characters. I read the book a couple of times. This is the first time I’ve listened to it. The man reading the story. His voice was fine for the mail parks, but for the women, I didn’t care for it. But it did not stop me from listening to the whole thing!!

Great quantum physics Story line!

The narrator Phil Gigante is absolutely a riot with his completely different dialects and accents. One can only visualize the expressions upon his face while reading..Bravo!
Really cool twist with the time travel and spacetime theory woven into the story line..Great reading.
