Enchanted by a powerful spell, Highland laird Drustan MacKeltar slumbered for nearly five centuries hidden deep in a cave, until an unlikely savior awakened him. The enticing lass who dressed and spoke like no woman he'd ever known was from his distant future, where crumbled ruins were all that remained of his vanished world.
Drustan knew he had to return to his own century if he was to save his people from a terrible fate. And he needed the bewitching woman by his side.
A woman changed forever in his arms....
Gwen Cassidy had come to Scotland to shake up her humdrum life and, just maybe, meet a man. How could she have known that a tumble down a Highland ravine would send her plunging into an underground cavern - to land atop the most devastatingly seductive man she'd ever seen? Or that once he'd kissed her, he wouldn't let her go?
Bound to Drustan by a passion stronger than time, Gwen is swept back to 16th-century Scotland, where a treacherous enemy plots against them...and where a warrior with the power to change history will defy time itself for the woman he loves.
Great Scot! Don't miss our other titles in the Highlander series.

Remind me again, where did I leave my ipod?
This is a series I've been reluctant to listen to. It was because of Phil Gigante, and his deep voice. Stupid, right?
Well I love him now. For a guy with such a deep voice, he does great women's voices -- not over the top, just right, and plenty of them. I hadn't expected that.
HIs brogue is pretty good, too.
And the series is a light, fun read. Perfect for my current mood. Druids, time travel, sexy highlanders -- what's not to love?
Its surprising humor and intricate plot.
That it kept me guessing. I got this on a whim. I thought it would be a laugh, and it was, in a good way. The characters were enjoyable and they got the time travel physics correct. What a pleasant surprise.
I usually feel like when men try to do women's voices it leaves them seeming shallow or dim witted. I didn't mind his at all.
Trying not to spoil anything.. I loved the way they described her after they are pulled apart closer to the end. It was very well done.
This one is def worth a credit. What a fun ride
THIS MAN AS STRONG AND MANLY AS HE IS ,HIS CONSIDERED AND GENTLE, BUT IT DOES NOT MAKE HIM LESS OF A MAN.
THE TURN THIS BOOK TAKE IS LESS EXPECTING BUT BOY IS IT GOOD
ALL, HIS GOOOOOOOD
PASSIONATE ENDLESS LOVE.
GIRLS OUT THERE YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK AND FEEL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A MEN AND A BOY, GUYS YOU SHOULD READ IT AND LEARN HOW TO TREAT A WOMEN.
Yes! This is the best book in the series yet!
Dresden being trapped by Gwen.
Mr. Gigante did a great job as always!
Several scenes in which I laughed allowed!
I'm one of the reviewers at the Guilty Indulgence Review Site. I am always reading - I don't go anywhere without an ebook or audiobook!
I'm completely taken with this series and am delighted by the narrator. Phil Gigante is the best for these Scottish romances. He makes my heart go pitter-patter. I just don't know if the story would be the same if I wasn't listening to the fabulous Phil reading it to me.
Romance, Fantasy, Science
He is an excellent narrator. I enjoy listening to his voice, he puts so much feeling into each character they really come alive.
Yes, but I would spoil the story for others is I were to explain it.
I did not want this to end. I was sad it did end and would love to see another book that continues on from this one. I know the author does not write sequels, but perhaps a future book about this family with flashbacks to the 15th century.
This story seemed to have a slow and sluggish start. As it progressed, it did get more interesting, and I was anxious to hear the outcome for the couple involved.
The highlander waking up 500 years in the future, was just too stupid at the beginning for me, and his actions and encounters with the modern world, seemed tiresome. I was about to go on to another book, but kept listening halfway while cleaning house.
Like I said, it did pick up later, and will most likely be enjoyed by many, who like a good romance.
I love to read all genres of books, but love my historical romances!!!
Karen Marie Moning does not dissapoint in her story telling!!! Phil Gigante makes me loose myself in the characters. His voice brings out such sex appeal in the male characters that I can't get enough. So ready to start the next book in the Highlander Series.
