What happens when the very gods depend on mortals for help? That's what three very different young women find out when they are invited to Warrior's Peak.

To Dana Steele, books and the knowledge they hold are the key to contentment. But now that search for knowledge must include the second key needed to release three souls held captive by an evil god.

She won't be alone, for she's formed fast friendships with two very different women. She can't allow herself to be distracted by the return of the man who broke her heart so long ago, for a danger beyond anyone's imagination is determined to keep her from completing her quest.

This was great not as good as #1 but great

I would definitely listen again but the female character did not seem fully developed as a 30 years old woman just as Mallory didn't in the first book. Other than those obvious short comings I loved this book because the man involved with this one is mysterious and all of the parties are used appropriately in sections rather than cutting all of the characters from book #1 out.

Reading is great. The woman voice over does a fabulous job with all the characters. I thought the final scene was wayyyyyyyy too short hoping #3 is better in that regard.

I Am Her

If you could sum up Key of Knowledge in three words, what would they be?

I am Dana.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Key of Knowledge?

Dana is so perfect and so much like me. The best moment was when she told her boss to shove it. From anyone else this would seem reckless, but Dana does nothing lightly. She is so strong and so good! Great job again Nora Roberts!

Which character – as performed by Susan Ericksen – was your favorite?

Zoe. She is the perfect example of a single mother that has had to work for everything she has. She is worn out but still so loving and so perfect! The narrator did a great job making her sound motherly, leery, and sexy all in one.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Dana Falling and love and hatting herself for it. I have been there with a guy that already broke my heart once. She felt what I did angry and not willing to try again but she did and so did I am we both married that guy in the end.

Any additional comments?

Excellent!

This was an excellent sequel to The Key of Light. The narrator makes it really easy to get lost in the story. I can't wait to see what happens next in The Key of Valor!

Thanks, Nora. This series has it all!

STORY (fantasy/romance) - You can't go wrong with this series. There are great characters sweet romances, clever banter, all tied together with a mysterious quest. Dana, Mallory and Zoe must, in turn, find three keys to release three souls held captive by an evil god. This is Book 2, Dana's quest, and it's a wild one. She tangles with Cain, the evil god, and with sexy Jordan Hawke as well. Not just a sweet romance, lots more going on.

PERFORMANCE - I love Susan Ericksen. She always delivers a great performance. In this book I especially love her performances of Pitt and Rowena, two of the gods.

OVERALL - The books in this series should be listened to in order so you follow the story of the quest for the keys and the character development. That said, each book does a good job of bringing you up to speed and each story stands alone. There's a tiny bit of cursing, but it's pretty mild. There are also Nora's typical romantic, "classy" sex scenes, the kind that aren't explicit but you still can feel the passion and heat. Recommended for all romance readers.

WOW, WOW, AND WOW

This is such a good, exciting, and wonderful story. It is a trilogy and each book flows effortlessly into the next. I listened to it in one day. The story has everything, fantasy, romance, mystery, and magic. I'm so glad that Susan Ericson was selected to be the reader. She is the best.
