Publisher's summary

In this New York Times best-selling erotic trilogy, a buttoned-up businesswoman takes her friend's advice and has a fling with a stranger on a trip to Vegas - only to find herself under his mysterious, sexy power both in the boardroom and the bedroom.

Kasie Fitzgerald knows who she's supposed to be. She's a rising-star-workaholic at a global consulting firm. She's the fiancée of a well-connected man who's won the approval of her parents. People know that she's reliable, serious, proper, cautious, pragmatic, and yes, a little predictable. She's who Dave and her family want her to be.

But as her 30th birthday looms, buried feelings begin to resurrect. Her friend takes her to Vegas for one last wild-and-crazy night. In a dress much shorter and sexier than anything she has ever dared to wear before, she hits the blackjack tables. And meets him. Under the tailored clothes it's clear that this is a man who is intense, powerful, and maybe even a little dangerous. With a touch of trepidation she accepts his invitation to get a drink, and before long, she's in his hotel room.

She never gets his full name. Perhaps his anonymity is one of the reasons she's able to give herself over to him and to the moment so completely. Perhaps it's why she's just had the most exquisite and passionate sex of her life. Shaken by her own behavior, Kasie tries to chalk it up to one crazy night. But when the mysterious gentleman she's just had a fling with shows up in her office - as the CEO of a firm her company does a billion dollars of business with a year, demanding that she handle his account, and so much more - things will never be the same again. And there's no telling where this will go....

Heroine not very likable

Where oh where do I begin? This story reminds me of Accidentally On Purpose, except not as well done, AOP did a good job of making you truly care about the main character, this book not so much, she seemed constantly on the verge of becoming a megalomaniac and seemed to enjoy it. Still it was a good read.

LOVE THE READER, NOT SO THE STORY!

Any additional comments?

I love the reader, I have listened to other books by her and she as always did an outstanding job. However, I kept waiting for the story. I really thought it fell flat. I kept thinking she had a really great idea, kind of different from the standard, but she wasn't able to develop it well. I was really disappointed.

stressful but entertaining

I liked the book, although by part three I was struggling with Casey and whether I wanted to keep going or not she was frustrating as well as Mr. Dade. Alas I made it through and the ending was a bit predictable but satisfying. I really hated how so many of the characters were so toxic and delusional or just plain old screwed up. Glad everyone didn't get sucked down the rabbit hole. Hopefully you will love and hate it as much as I did while getting to know all the characters and understanding their motivation. :-)

Loved Grace Grant, story not so much....

All I can say is....not memorable, 50 shades of greyish only the duo is a lot meaner. It was ok, saving grace was Grace Grant, whom I love.

Story great, just need patience to get there.

The story was a good one. Loved the struggle, the characters, the entire concept. Worth listening to but beware you have to have patience for this one. The author is very, I mean very descriptive. Which is good at first to help you visualize and understand how the main character thinks. But half way into the book it gets to be too much in her head. Found myself fast forwarding a few times through scenes that took place in her head. Would have loved for the author to spend that time and words letting us to get to know more about Robert. She never really peeled the layers back on Robert. His character was not developed as much as it should have been. Dual POV would have make this a five star. I have the story, the concept a 5star, but overall due to the long fantasies and lack of really getting to know Robert a 3star for overall. Narration is great. It is worth the credit and good listen.

Too Long

I agree with others that this is definitely way too long. Could have been shortened quite a bit without losing the story line as it spend too much time in Kasie's head and her fantasies. She actually makes me angry and I wanted to slap her. She is so egoistical and thinks she better than others at times. I usually like Kyra Davis' books but I have to admit this one, not so much.

This one had me up listening long into the night!

Kasie is a good girl. Engaged to the perfect guy -- she has the perfect job and an implied marriage proposal. So why when a friend suggests she sleep with a stranger during a trip to Vegas, does the good girl go bad? What comes of that encounter will turn Kasie's life, and the the lives of all those around her, upside down and sideways. This book is a tour de force of finding out who you are and what you truly want.

The romance was an intense power play between the ultimate controlling man and the woman who wants to control her own life. And the sex was HOT! The story was moving without being sentimental, and the complex lives of Ms. Davis' characters were laid out bare, and so much more inventive than the usual fare. The twists and turns had my jaw dropping over and over again!

I was glued to my Kindle for two days running. I loved it!

Just One Night is also the perfect marriage between a fascinating story and the perfect reader. Grace Grant is my all time favorite reader in this genre. Her voices are perfect, and her rendering powerful. I hope Ms. Davis gives us many more novels. Highly recommended!

PASSION ...YES ...BUT.....

Well the passion was electric, the connection between Kasie and Robert was so hot!
I felt as though Kassie did change drastically though, forgetting how to treat people, only wanting to get to the top! Although it's only the first book, I look forward to seeing how her life continues to change. Where Robert will lead her ??? Where it leads them as a couple. I'm glad she realized her true self though, and her needs for passion. I do like her.

Great story, tooooo many fantasies.

I really liked the story, however I would appreciated that the characters spoke more to each other, verses casy speaking mainly to herself. Too much "self" dialogue. I also would of appreciated POV from Robert. Otherwise it was a great story line. I really loved the readers as well
