Haven't finished listening to it...

I'm not too excited about this story. I haven't listened to the whole thing and am not in a hurry to get back to it.

I like the book and storyline. It was very short and seemed to be missing some of the love chemistry that I normally read in Mrs. Jackson's books. Overall it was cute and and sweet. The narrator was different but once I got adjusted she was fine.

Could have done more...

Brenda creates great characters but for some reason she sells herself short by under developing them. I would have like to see the story begin during the deception phase by the husband. I would like to get into the mind of someone who would do such a thing. Also I felt like I didnt learn a lot about the other wives. Savannah is one of my favorite narrators but she does not have the voice to represent black characters. In my mind I made the characters white until Brenda described them and I had to chuckle.

I could not fuck trash the whole book and the trash. I could not get a feel for it.

Blah!!!

I usually love anything that Ms. Jackson does but this one missed the mark for me. Very bland with no excitement and no "hold your breath" ending. Just blah.

It was OK

It took me over a week to finish this book. The story was not believable, and the heroine annoyed me to the fullest. Her desperation for a baby was driving me crazy. There were too many "and then" and " making love". They were lusting after each other so call it what it was LUST. All and all I am going to return this book because I like to listen to my books more than once so that o can get my money's worth and this is not one of those books. I must say though that I do like most of Ms Jackson's books and this one will not deter me from trying others in the future. My recommendation to other listeners, if you are driving or busy around the house this would be an ok book to help kill some time because you're not going to pay attention to what's really going on because it's like white noise.

Narrator is unbelievable as couple

I didn't like the narrator as the couple she was completely unbelievable. The story was OK
