Roberts' Best

Roberts usually allows her lovers to get together or back together before the last paragraph which I enjoy. This is one of her best, suspenseful without being scary!

The story was sweet and worth the listen. The lady narrating sometimes seemed to talk a bit fast. That can be a bit annoying at times. Had to go back a couple seconds to rehear a word(s) not all the time but can be aggravating

Nora Roberts books are the best.

The story was excellent! The narrators were awesome! Nora Roberts never disappoints. Her books are always good.

MAGIC TRICKS AND ROMANCE

Where does Honest Illusions rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the middle. It was a nice romance but much too long.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Luke - a throw away child who became a master magicuab

What about Sandra Burr’s performance did you like?

she does the male and female voices very well

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. There parts, especially in the first 1/3 of the book which were dragged out.

A Classic

I've loved this book for years, and this is my first listen to the audio book. The narrator employed many voices, adding a nice dimension to the storytelling of an engaging and magical world. Highly recommend.

I liked it

I liked it for the fifth time good storyline. the story is a great story

Great - again.

The story was great - as always, and very well put together. The only hitch was the performance often sounded choppy. I don’t think it was the performer, Ms Burr, but the taping of her voice. Words were cut so it sounded like parts had been dubbed or something. And it went that way all through the performance. Other than that, bullseye.

One of My Favorites Ever!

Would you consider the audio edition of Honest Illusions to be better than the print version?

Audio is better for me because it allows me to listen to books while doing other things around the house. If someone couldn't get this book in Audio, then I'm sure the book version would be just as good.

What other book might you compare Honest Illusions to and why?

I wouldn't compare this book to any other. This book was amazing.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the part in the book when Luke sees his son for the first time. My heart just melted. It was beautifully done.

Any additional comments?

This has to be one of my top 3 books ever. I absolutely loved this book and will read it again in the future. I would recommend it to anyone. It was perfect.

Magical

Loved this book! It's full of love and magic. I absolutely enjoyed the cat & mouse games between the characters. All the characters were wonderfully written in the story.
