FANTASTIC! Book Hit All My Marks Except Trashy Sex
Where does Honest Illusions rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is a great suspense and adventure thriller-full of twists and turns. I'll definitely listen again. I have over 200 books so it is hard to rank among so many-and many different genres.
What other book might you compare Honest Illusions to and why?
It is so unique that I cannot compare it to anything but it is fantastic. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a romantic mystery.
Which scene was your favorite?
As the daughter of a world-renowned magician who is equally accomplished as a jewel thief, Roxy Nouvelle inherits her father's genius. Dashing escape artist Luke Callahan also possesses a gift for relieving the wealthy of their valuables. Brought up together, Roxy and Luke are partners first in illusion, then in crime, and finally in passion.
But the shadow of his past stalks Luke, forcing him to vanish or see his loved one ruined. Years of hollow fame and lonely affluence pass before Roxy and Luke reunite to execute the most daring heist of their careers and to exact sweet revenge.

I enjoy books with graphic, mature scenes. This didn't have any so if you are looking for Lora Leigh or Maya Banks this isn't for you-however, if you've run out of those type (as I have) this is a great mystery with powerful characters, layers within the story line and romance.

Good crime
So far this one is the best of all i have read from Nora. I enjoy her books as a break between harder crime as I usually am reading. I find that she have tendencies to quick finishes, this one is perfect! Good beginning, middle and not rushed finish. Story also very good. Not the usual i have had from her before. Interesting every minute!

One of Nora’s best!
I must say this is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books! I thought that the story was imaginative and complex. I liked that it started from the beginning of the character’s childhood meeting and continued all the way to adulthood. I loved being taken along all of the twists and turns of Luke and Roxy’s journey into adulthood. The glamour and excitement of them being jewel thieves under the guise of being top notch magicians really appealed to me. The deep seated love and passion with a little bit of heartbreak along the way kept me wanting to keep listening! Even though some didn’t enjoy the narration, I thought she did an excellent job with the different voices. Finally, I felt the story had a happy and satisfying ending! My advice is listen to this book for yourself and form your own opinion. Keep in mind, this is a work of fiction and that’s what makes it fun! Just enjoy the escape and relax! Cheers!

Interesting Back Story
Nora's different back stories always interest me. This one is magic, the next I read was whiskey, & the most recent one I just finished was race horses. She does such a thorough job with the background details. Love it. Sandra Burr is excellent as usual.
