An up-and-coming MMA fighter wants more than just one night from a woman fleeing her past in New York Times best-selling author Lori Foster's irresistible new novel.
Heavyweight fighter Denver Lewis plays real nice, but he doesn't share. That's why he's been avoiding top-notch flirt Cherry Peyton. But a man can resist those lush curves for only so long. Their encounter surpasses all his fantasies, bringing out protective urges that Cherry's about to need more than she knows....
Denver's combination of pure muscle and unexpected tenderness has been driving Cherry wild. Yet no sooner does she get what she's been craving than old troubles show up on her doorstep. And this time Cherry can't hide behind a carefree facade. Because the man by her side is one who'll fight like hell to keep her safe...if only she'll trust him enough to let him....

I'm totally addicted to audio books! I listen when my eyes get too tired to read and when I am driving or just don't want to sit and read!
My new book boyfriend is Denver! I'm really looking forward to Armies story...well truly I'm looking forward to learning more about about all of the guys and their girls.
Corupt cops, foster care, low income, doingwhats rights, good concquering bad, hard work and effort paying off. Past books have been excellent at spinning the tales. This ones a DUD. It drags and drags, plot is slow to resolve. Agonizingly slow. Repetative, very much a rehash of previous work. Not worth your time or money. Run the Risk and Getting Rowdy tell the same story but so much better.
yes, Good "listening"
Male and female lead
I enjoy this narration tone.
Enjoyed the entire book!
Lori foster does an amazing job writing her books. I love every book I read from her. Loved this book and can't wait till the next book comes out!!
I am an avid fantasy and urban fantasy reader. I also read a lot of millitary romance.
I wasn't too sure about this series because of the MMA fighters. I am not a fan of the sport at all, but the books are still great. If you like Foster's other books you will like these too.
The intricacies of the characters and the plot.
I can't pick. I love them all! I love how the guys and the neighborhood protect their own.
Yes and he is just fabulous. He never disappoints!
It kind of melted my heart a little. Love the guys!
If you like Lori Foster's books then you won't be let down by this one....It is the same basic plotline as the others, but I like them so it is worth it to me.
I always love Jim Frangione!
Say something about yourself!
She has a good character build up and story line going on.
The problem I have, is that I do not like a heroine or hero hooking up with anyone else after meeting each other. Lori Foster does not have any cheating going on in her series. I just have a hard time feeling the love between the 2 if I know they just hooked up with someone days, weeks, or hours before. That being said, it seems she is hinting that Armie, one of the characters coming up soon isn't as much of a manwhore as we think. I sure hope not. If Lori would back off on the slutty side of all these fighters and focus more on the story line I would have given it a 5 star. The first 3 hours of the book I got so annoyed and disappointed I almost didn't finish it. I am glad I did though. I see that other readers have the same thoughts as me. I am hoping she reads these reviews and maybe adjust a little on those topics. As far as Denver and Cherry they are a good couple and Denvar is a loving hero.
I love all of Lori Foster's books. All of the characters feel like family now. I've listened to a couple of books from this series. I loved this one but not as much as the other two I've listened to. Why? I'm not sure. I think for me the chemistry between the H and h could have popped a little better. However, the danger side story was excellent. I'm glad I listened to the book. I would recommend it to a friend.
