Half-vampire Catherine Crawfield is going after the undead with a vengeance, hoping that one of these deadbeats is her father—the one responsible for ruining her mother's life. Then she's captured by Bones, a vampire bounty hunter, and is forced into an unlikely partnership.
In exchange for help finding her father, Cat agrees to train with the sexy night stalker until her battle reflexes are as sharp as his fangs. She's amazed she doesn't end up as his dinner…are there actually good vampires? Pretty soon, Bones will have her convinced that being half-dead doesn't have to be all bad. But before she can enjoy her status as kick-ass demon hunter, Cat and Bones are pursued by a group of killers. Now Cat will have to choose a side...and Bones is turning out to be as tempting as any man with a heartbeat.
Jeaniene Frost lives with her husband and their very spoiled dog in Florida. Although not a vampire herself, she confesses to having pale skin, wearing a lot of black, and sleeping in late whenever possible. And while she can't see ghosts, she loves to walk through old cemeteries. Jeaniene also loves poetry and animals but fears children and hates to cook. She is currently at work on the next novel in her best-selling Night Huntress series.

“Take one half-human/half-vampire female with serious anger and parental issues, add in a sexy ancient vampire with his own agenda, and you have the makings for a truly combustible series. Sign me up for the sequel!” (Romantic Times)
Loved it! Didn't wait for the audible version of book 2 went and purchased in on my kindle and am about to start book 3.
Audiobook Addict. It's all about the Listen. Mostly Romance, but I do branch out a bit. Reviews are my honest opinions-popular or not.
This is a must-listen- one of the best series ever. The perfect combination of great writing by the author and fabulous performances by the reader. This series and the Rachel Morgan series by Kim Harrison are my all-time favorites. This pulls you in immediately and will not disappoint.
I need more ears!
One of the best (perhaps only?) perks of getting older is a challenged memory. Given enough time, rereading my favorite books again is almost like new. This is possibly my third time reading this series over the past 4 or 5 years and I'm having a great time! Definitely more entertaining than 75% of what's out there.
Tavia Gilbert is amazing reading this fantastic series, so I'm dipping into the Mark of the Vampire series for the first time because she's the reader of that too.
Note to Kevin Hearne fans: Just found a great new (to me) series by John Conroe called the Demon Accords. It's amazing! Check it out on Kindle cause it's not on Audible yet. I plowed through the whole series in a week and loved it!
I did not care for this book at all, I turned it off and will not be buying any of these books in this series,
Hot romance/Sci Fi we're so lucky to have Audible to feed our book addictions. I love walking my precious dog Sydney & listening to my books
This book is exciting and very addictive from beginning to end. Top author with a fabulous imagination. I'll be listing to the rest of this excellent series. :)
I loved this book!! I am completely addicted to Cat and Bones (I have listened to to the book - ahem, cough...cough - 5 times)! This story is a wonderful tribute to the genre. I cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out in audio format. I have read all of the books, so far; but now, I want to hear the rest of them. The narrator is excellent and definitely makes the book all the more entertaining. If I could give the audio book 10 stars, I would not hesitate to do so.... Enjoy!
Funny, sexy, exciting - with a Spike and a Buffy type relationship. A great fun vampire series. All the characters come alive - great fore shadowing. I have read all the books and am happy to say the audio books live up to the print.
And please keep the same narrator, Tavia does a wonderful job. I can not wait for more of this series. Hurry Audible, hurry!!

I've always loved stories about vampires - mainly because vampires are the supernatural creatures living for hundreds of years and have a great history in their backpack. Vampire novels should always have flashbacks to other periods in time, so this mix with history and the paranormal world has always fascinated me. Jeaniene Frost does a great job with mixing many elements - history, love, fun, romance, sex, action and great memorable characters!
I was so delighted when I started listening to this first book - it grabbed me from the beginning, I laughed out loud many times and it had me sitting on the edge to the end. I had no doubt about purchasing the other books in the series right away and fortunately, there are many of them!
You'll meet Cat who is a half-vampire living with her mother and grandparents. She has sworn she'll kill all vampires due to a very personal agenda - until she runs into Bones - a 240-something vampire, who is just a lot smarter than her. As much as she despises Bones just because he's a vampire, she's also forced to put her trust in him, if she is going to succeed with her own plans.
Bones is training Cat to be a vampire huntress and teaching her everything she has to know about vampires - just forget about what you've watched in the movies! Bones is a hot, British/Australian vampire, he's funny as hell, he's smart and a real badass! Despite Cat's hate towards him in the beginning he continues trying to win her trust and later - her heart.
Narrator Tavia Gilbert does a wonderful in giving this story life! This book was the first I've listened to, narrated by her and she became one of my few top-favorites. She does a great job giving the characters different voices and accents and I love her Bones-voice!
This is a series I can listen to over and over again, so if you want a great paranormal, action packed story with great characters, give it a try. Beware that this series contains many (very well written) steamy sex scenes.
I am open to reviewing quality products.
WooHoo!! I love it when I discover a series that is all out!!! I can not wait to dive into these. This is going to be delicious entertainment for the rest of the week.
Cat is a totally kick butt chick! She takes not crap from anybody! Love all her snark and sass. She is easily up there with all my favorite UF heroines. She has a hard road because of her family, but she does not let it get her down. It takes her a while to accept herself, thankfully she did not spend the time being uber-angsty.
Bones is totally delicious! I love a guy with an accent. He is also incredibly sweet, sure in a tough love kind of way. I am more than half in love with him. He can be a real jerk at times, but it all has a purpose, mostly to help Cat come to terms with herself. And he is has no mercy when it comes to her safety and well being, do not cross this guy!
They have a great dynamic and the whole book is beautifully paced. Such a great world that is detailed and well crafted. I can not wait to see more of this series. The romance is nicely done and felt real. There is a yummy amount of steam throughout. This is one of those UF books that verges on erotic, mainstream story with plenty of detail in the smexy scenes.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tavia Gilbert, she does a fantastic job. She voices the characters with distinctive accents and makes the story flow. She makes Bones accent super delicious. She is definitely one to search out in the future.
Warning, this is not a HEA ending, but I have faith the series will get there, it damn sure better!! I was understandably upset at the end. I still loved the book and was thoroughly entertained. I am so happy a friend suggested I read this series. Yup, I am hooked and will beginning stalking, uh following Ms. Frost ASAP!!
