Nice because it was a different story

kept me interested because I had no idea what was going to come next so I was able to enjoy the whole series. thank you for an interesting story

This is a fun book that is excellently performed by Susan Duerden. I loved the first meeting of Jade and Caine. I could not imagine what was going on! There are several great characters in the book. They are entertaining and add interest to the story. Jade is the dreaded pirate, Pagan. Everyone of course thinks Pagan is a man, but the intriguing Jade is the she devil that everyone fears. She has learned to be a pirate from her relatives and is a brave, smart and energetic woman. Listening to the well read story of Jade and Caine is a pleasure and I highly recommend this book. Julie Garwood is a great writer and storyteller. Almost all of her books are good - some are great.

This was a very entertaining book and I must say that I LOVE this narrator, she is really extremely talented!!

Another Historical Garwood Favorite in Audio!

This is one of my favorite Garwood titles and Duerden did an wonderful job of bringing the story to life. With the exception of Jade's character, everyone else was as I had imagined when reading the story. In Jade's case, I felt she sounded too young and inexperienced to be a pirate or a woman who had lived on an island surrounded by different cultures. I don't think it was a problem with the overall narration just the narrator's choice of voice.

Another smash hit

Julie garwood hits another one out of the park. I love the way the heroines are capable as well as the hero's and the love scenes are tastefully done. the narrator was great. best books, especially for the money.

Good Listen

Very good series. Julie Garwood is by far one of my favorite author's. The story had a little adventure, mystery and of course romance. It kept me interested to the end.

Have loved Julie for years. Read this one ages ago, but listening to it was just plain fun. Good voices and inflection.
