Jess made a mistake. She married too young, to the wrong man. The problem is hawks mate for life. To add more insult to the situation, her mate, Freddie, isn't interested in keeping his vows, and it looks like he isn't coming home anytime soon. Freddie doesn't want Jess...but sexy grizzly bear Travis does. And oh, how Jess wants him too - even though she knows that she can't have him.
However, Jess' marital problems aren't the only issue. Jess and Travis' pursuit of the nefarious being behind the attacks on their town is being sabotaged by treachery. When the two of them barely survive an ambush, Jess can no longer deny her love for the rascally bear. Can the pair dodge death long enough to see if it's possible for Jess to rectify a wrong and take Travis as her mate?

Traveling therapist listening to AUDIBLE books while driving to far areas. Also host/produce radio show on KGLP 91.7 on staying positive!!
LOVE the stories in this series. Enough details & sex to keep an active mind whirling for more. Eve Langlais does an excellent job with the characters & conflicts in the stories that don't make it dull.. More stories PLEASE..
Travis finally gets his woman, or should I say hawk. She played hard to get only because she was married but getting rid of that problem was the plan
I love to read about Shapeshifters of all kinds but am partial to Bears and Wolves. I love series that connect .
loved it!! laughed out load, stayed up waaay past bedtime to find out what was happening with my hero and his love. my only complaint is that it is over to soon.
Books speak to the soul.
The story is good but not complicated. The premise for all the books in this series is the same. Shifters fall in love, get into trouble, save each other & live happily ever after with their friends at Kodiak Point. A quick fun listen if you aren't expecting anything complicated. Perfect for doing your tasks to because you don't need to worry that you've missed that one important "clue".
My only complaint would be the narrator & it's just a pet peeve of mine. It took me awhile to figure out exactly what it was that I always disliked about this narrator. She doesn't pronounce her "t's" in her words most of the time.
Example: bitten was pronounced bi un instead of bit ten. That may be the speech pathos in the area she grew up...not sure. However, it drives me "bat sh** crazy" hearing words that aren't pronounced correctly. That is the only thing wrong with this narrator...she just needs to pronounce all the T's in her words. Her character voices are fine. If that quirk doesn't bother you, you will be fine with her as a narrator...myself, I cringe at all the words with T's in them.
lovable characters, grate story, stringing me along in the sexual tension, the sex ;)
needs a reread. its so dry and with out feeling.. like a dry hump with out lubrication or love. You want it but you know it could be better.
"fun and fab"
grinned all the way through it. I love a book that makes me laugh
