I am really enjoying reading this powerful interpretation of our country's struggles with the war between the states! It has given a behind scenes perception of life for white and black people during that terrible time in history. Some of it is really hard to understand because of the senseless killings of the black people! I'm really enjoying the wonderful love stories mixed in with the history.
Learning a lot of history. sad to see a lot of parallels in today's society. would have hoped we'd have learned our lesson.
Enjoyed every page. Narrator continues to be one of the best as is the story.
It was simply impossible to stop reading this series! Once I discovered them I couldn't quit reading until I finished every one. Love old south history & a love story. Fabulous!
