Would you consider the audio edition of Genevieve to be better than the print version?

I thoroughly enjoyed the audio edition of Genvieve. Richard Allen smooth baritone really brought the characters to life -- he can make reading the phone book steamy!

What did you like best about this story?

The male lead. His story is very recognizable. The reader is lead to believe Genvieve is a broken woman that her husband is forced to repair, however that thought is turned on it ear since he too is broken.

What does Richard Allen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Absolute sensuality

I loved this story, love the title character. I actually cried at the end. So touching how deep Genevieve is. :-)
(Not very crazy about the way the narrator read it though. :-/ )

Genvieve

Amazing...Eric Jerome Dickey delivers a well written, explict story line that keeps you engaged throughout the novel and as always his endings are truely unexptected. His characters are so complicated and he manages to tell about each of them so you walk away feeling as if you know them. Because of my busy life I would not have an opportunity to enjoy his writings if not for the majic of audio books.

Great read, Dickey's use of strong characters and deep stories bring his characters to life in so many ways. You hate them (Genevieve) then you love them ( grandpa Fred) to switching up as the chapter goes on. I listened to and re- listened to many parts before finally finishing this book. 5 stars

Just a great book. I think that it shows how people really are. We want Genevieve to say screw you to her husband when he sleeps with her daughter but in that situation we just might act the same way Genevieve did. She realized she had a hand in it all.

Good Story. Rather Graphic

It’s a good story overall. Especially the surprise ending. I was just surprised at how graphic it was. I’m not a prude by any means but had to scramble to turn off the opening chapter because my 10 year old was in the car. I must have miss the warning???
