Publisher's summary

No warrior of the Nightfury pack is more complicated or damaged than Wick. Scarred from a childhood of slavery and torture, Wick cannot bear the touch of another person. But all bets are off when he meets J. J. Solares. When she is unjustly imprisoned, Wick agrees to help rescue and keep her from harm. But Wick lives a life of self-imposed isolation, and venturing into the world to seek justice for J. J. may be more than he can take.

Brutalized by the harsh reality of prison, J. J. thinks she is hallucinating when a majestic dark-haired god sweeps in to save her - and Wick is shaken to his core by the attraction he feels for J. J. But neither is out of harm's way yet. When they find themselves at the center of a Dragonkind war, they are forced to make the ultimate choice - surrender to their fears or accept each other's love.

Learning to Trust Again

This is another fun fantasy escape with a sexy dragon who gets knocked off his game when he meets his match. Damaged by brutal past trauma, these two have more in common than they realize. I enjoyed their willingness to continue to fight for a possible future.

Keep Them Coming!

Getting ready for the next book in the series to be released tomorrow, I went back and listen to this story again. It was just as good the second time around as the first. I really enjoy this series!

I read some of the other reviews and agree this series does remind me of JR Ward's BDB books; however, there are enough difference so you do not feel like it is a copycat. If you enjoy the BDB's books, you will like this series!

Four thumbs up!

Good, but I'm not reading anymore..

Any additional comments?

Over all, this was a good story but I have to admit that I skimmed a LOT of it, as I did with all of them.
I loved all the characters, Wick, J.J, Venom, Mac, Bastian, Rikar, Sloan, and all their women. But, there was soooo much filler.
From the very beginning of the book there was a plan to go get JJ from the hospital, that's how chapter 1 started and it took all the way to (about) page 120 before they ever got her. There was so much BS going on! Going to the club to find a woman for energy, 20 or 30 pages of that nonsense. Then Wick going outside all loopy, another 15 or so pages, then at the hospital it took another 30 or so pages before Wick ever touched her. I must have skimmed about 75 to 100 pages and that's really not good. I don't mind a little filler, that kind of goes with all books, but there was really no reason for this book to have over 400 pages and 12 and a half hours of (not so much) listening pleasure. I did like this group of dragon/men but I just can't see myself reading anymore from the author. And, if it's the publisher telling her they want 400 pages plus it's time to get a new publisher.

As to the narrator: Mr. Darcie did a fine job. He's still a little iffy when it comes to the women's voices but he does try his best and that's all I can ask.

Dragon Heaven

This is an outstanding series and hopefully it is a long way from being finished. I have listened and listened to the four books - so far - and never tired of the character portrayals and repoire between the characters. It is one of three series I have listened to that I never take off my ipod. Outstanding and thanks Coreene - just love your story telling.

Best one yet

This book actually show growth and plot. It is not just about hooking up and staying closeted in bed. Although, that does happen. I was very glad to see the development of Wick and also start getting some background for the characters. Makes understanding the "war" more believable. Looking forward to the next book. Hope there is much more character development. The first two were just too he man (beat chest, me Man you woman).

Sister of anglo female & dragon male both damaged.

Both have past lives filled with pain but find each other. The sister of a anglo female that mated one of the other dragons. Is connected to Wick whom has emotional damage from a cruel past. JJ (female) was in jail for 5 years for murder. Killing an abusing boyfriend. She is half native american but look white. Her sister has another father but seems have had a better life than jj despite growing up together. There is sub plots of the razor back and other stuff but this book is similiar to the other 3 books.. OK read/listen

Another fabulous episode!

Love the Dragonfury series and Wick's story doesn't disappoint! I love rooting for the under dog, and Wick's past made him so vulnerable. J.J. is perfect for him with her own struggles. There are also more clues to the workings of Dragon hierarchy and more characters added for additional intrigue. My mind is going crazy! Benjamin's narration was superb, as with all the previous books. On to the next!
