a decent escape

This book was enjoyable & held my interest. I found the story line interesting enough but nothing to write home about.

Good book but...

Where does Forged in Fire rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I've listed to over a hundred audible books and this one was good and suspenseful but it is not one of my favorites. If you like physic abilities it will be enjoyable and I would recommend it.

What aspect of Angela Dawe’s performance would you have changed?

Angela did a good job of narrating and she changed her voice just enough to tell a different character was speaking but almost every sentence ended on the same note. After awhile it got a little annoying.

The Red Hot Seals series is my favorite. Trish McCallan does a great job with her Seal books and romantic suspense. I always pick up the new book when she releases one. They are always so well written. Beth has a series of dreams so realistic about a plane being hijacked that they bring her to the airport she works at and standing on standby. She keeps dreaming of a handsome man that is covered in blood and she sees his name in his wallet. Zane Winters is known for psychic flashes, and a for a family psychic connection when they find the person who will be their spouse. He recognizes Beth right off and she sees the man from her dreams. Pick up and read or listen to this story!
This time I have listened to the audio version which is narrated by Angela Dawe. She does a good job of narration.

Romantic suspense!

I loved the story! Brilliant plot! Solid strong character developement! The connection between Beth and Zane was very powerful throughout the story! Together they had to save the day! Full of danger and suspense! Well worth the listen!!

Intense with Steam

loved the narration. story just enough to keep you on the edge and hurting back to read more. can't wait for the next installment. this is going to b a wonderful series.

Enjoyable story

The story was good but the narration was distracting. The narrator kept ending sentences with her voice going up instead of the normal voice cadence going down to indicate the end of a sentence. Have you ever watched the Saturday Night Live skits with a woman (I don't know her name) news reporter or talk show host. If you have, you'll know how irritating it is. At least she didn't do it when reading the conversations between the characters.

Just okay - good writing, good narration

I can't quite put my finger on what it was about this book. It was good writing, didn't feel juvenile or forced as some of these genre books do. The characters were fun, the action good, the paranormal elements ... eh. I always enjoy Angela Dawe as a narrator, and the book was fine, but there just wasn't anything in it that grabbed me to make it outstanding. It was fun and worth the time if you enjoy this type of book, but in my opinion it is pretty cookie cutter to the type.

I will certainly be open to listening to more books written by Trish McCallan and wouldn't discourage anyone from buying this one, it just wasn't a stand out for me. I am afraid that in a week or two the characters and plot of this book will blur with a dozen others that I have consumed in the past.

When the men took the woman seriously about the dream without condensending remarks. I liked the team.

Went back to see if this writer had any more books as one of the other review did. She didn't. Would like to hear more of her work.

Fun, suspenseful and fast paced

I'm looking forward to the rest of these books coming out on audible. I liked that the hero steadfastly wears down the reluctant heroine. I enjoyed the secondary characters. But it the action and suspense that kept me glued to the book until the end.
I have many books with Andrea Dawe and while she is not my favorite by far, she doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the books.
