What did you like best about this story?

Very steamy and sexy male characters.

Have you listened to any of Clare Claremont’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Not that I'm aware. I'm from the Deep South and have lived in or known people from almost every state south of the Mason-Dixon line and Ms. Claremont's portrayal of the southern accent was awful for most of the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes

Great story and very erotic!!

A great story line and the narrator made you know each character with her change in voice. I listen on my commute and I found myself anxious to get in the car each morning !!!

Would you try another book from Lora Leigh and/or Clare Claremont?

Yes, of course and have listened to others of hers. I am a fan of erotica and good romance and thought the story had a good premise, however, I believe the plot, subplot, and character definition could have been more well defined and elaborated on.

Would you recommend Forbidden Pleasure to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

I think that Ms. Claremont's voice was okay; her narration did not "spoil" my listen but neither did it impress me. Her southern accents were too harsh, not smooth and did not glide over you. She really needs to work on her male voices, they barely sounded male and in some parts of the book it sounded as if she forgot she was suppose to be the voice of an alpha male. To her credit, however, I thought she did an excellent job with Victoria's aged voice.

Did Forbidden Pleasure inspire you to do anything?

I think answering this question would violate my privacy and some ethical code of conduct Audible might assume.

Any additional comments?

Keep writing Ms. Leigh; keep narrating Ms. Claremont, but hone up on those big boy voices.

Good Story and a lot of HOT!!

I really enjoyed this story. It is certainly not a for those who are prudish. The sex is graphic but well done. Once I started listening it was hard to stop listening. Unlike a few others reviewers I thought the story was good and the intense scenes were a part of the story. Although a situation like this would never happen in real life, what girl would not like the scenario, LOL!!

The whole book was stupid and corny and I kept skipping around for a better story plot.

The husband it was all pathetic.

Tedious

I didn't care for the narrator. Her voice is grating. Couple that with my annoyance with the plodding storyline & I wanted to stop listening many times. Ms. Leigh's descriptions are unnecessarily repetitious. I'm a sucker for a mystery so I stuck with it. No surprises at the end. Disappointing.

So bad I can't even finish the story

What disappointed you about Forbidden Pleasure?

Ok, so I know that when I get a trashy novel, I shouldn't expect to much. But this was so bad I couldn't finish it. I wanted to reach into my ipod and slap the female character. Is it to much to ask, to have a female lead, who isn't a wishy washy whiner? How about well developed and likeable? I realize most people listen to this kind of book for the sex scenes but the story around those scenes is so boring, I couldn't even hang in there for the sex scenes. Is it wrong to want good sex scenes and a well written story? Instead of a trashy novel, it should be called only trash.
