Publisher's summary

Fisher,

I guess this is it, huh? After 14 years together, starting a life of our own on this island, five deployments, and countless letters I've written you through it all, I finally go out to the mailbox and see something I've always dreamed of: an envelope with your handwriting on it. For one moment, I actually thought you'd changed your mind, that all the awful things you said to me were just your way of coping after everything you'd been through. I was still here, Fisher. I was still here, holding my breath, waiting for you to come back even though you told me you never would. You always said you'd find your way back to me. Out of all the lies you've told me, this one hurts the most. Enclosed you will find the signed divorce papers, as requested. I hope you find what you're looking for. I'm sorry it wasn't me.

Lucy

To get the ending they want, Lucy and Fisher will have to go back to the beginning. Through the good and the bad, they'll be reminded of why they always made their way back to each other, and why this time, one way or another, it will be the last time.

Very touching

Reminiscent of a Nicholas Sparks novel, only steamier! Keep your tissues close to hand, you will need them.

Finding each other again!

I'm a sucker for a happy ending. I love that Fisher and Lucy found their way back to each other again even though they had to deal with a lot of ups and downs. I love how the story highlights the effects of war and how you can manage living with PTSD. Brillant performance as always form Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber. Two of my favorite narrators.

LOVE!!

I loved everything about this book. The story, characters and I openly laughed out loud every time Fisher said the wrong name with Stanford. I couldn't stop listening! Love Lucy and Fisher.

Love it! Great Story!!

Would you listen to Fisher's Light again? Why?

YES!!! AGAIN!! AND AGAIN!!
I always wanted to know what goes on in a soldiers mind from returning home. This author did an amazing job in telling the story.

What other book might you compare Fisher's Light to and why?

Forever you - Only the part of the grandfather.

What about Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber ’s performance did you like?

They both brought the story to live!!! When ever I see Andi and Zachary's name assigned to a book, I know it's going to be good to listen too!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I don't want to be a spoiler alert, it had me at the beginning to the end!!

I felt at the end the story was rushed to finish, I wished the editors would let the story continue smoothly without feeling rush!!

Any additional comments?

They should make a movie out of this book!!

The Light Shines

Where does Fisher's Light rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was a really good listen, I actually couldn't stop. It captured my heart.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fisher's Light?

The ability that Fisher would get flash backs and he couldn't control them. I man mentally torn is so hard to listen and took me to tears.

What does Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Oh! they brought it to life. I totally love Andi, but Zachary made every page come alive.

Any additional comments?

Don't want to spoil it, but our men in the military caring so much when they come home. I give my respect to the wives of these men, because strength is needed to overcome demans
that our military men carry within them.

A devastatingly beautiful love story that captivated me from beginning to end. This book was powerfully moving, emotionally raw and poignant.
