Publisher's summary

From the New York Times and international best-selling author, Jennifer L. Armentrout writing as J. Lynn, comes a richly moving story about heartbreak and guilt, second chances and hope. Full of familiar, fan-favorite characters and no two people more deserving of a happy ending, Fire in You will burn bright....

Jillian Lima's whole world was destroyed in a span of a few hours. The same night her childhood love, Brock "the Beast" Mitchell, broke her heart, her life was irrevocably altered by the hand of a stranger with a gun. It takes six years to slowly glue together the shattered pieces of her life, but Jillian is finally ready to stop existing in a past full of pain and regret. She takes a job at her father's martial arts Academy and she's going out on her first date since a failed relationship that was more yuck than yum. Jillian is determined to start living.

She just never expected Brock to be a part of her life again. But he's firmly back in her life before she knows it, and not only is he older, he's impossibly more handsome, more teasing and more everything. And when he sees Jillian, he's no longer capable of thinking of her as the little girl who was his shadow growing up or the daughter of the man who gave him a second chance at life. He sees the woman who'd always been there for him, the one person who believed in him no matter what.

Brock knows she's the one he should've made his, and what begins as a tentative friendship quickly turns to red-hot chemistry that sparks a flame that burns brighter than lust. Falling for Brock again risks more than her heart, because when the sorrow-filled and guilt-ridden past resurfaces, and a web of lies threatens to rip them apart, the fallout could lay waste to everything they've fought to build together, and destroy the dreams of those they care most about.

5 Fire in You Stars

Ok getting to this book is bitter sweet, I just had to do a series re read because well I love this series.
And it has been utterly wonderful getting to experience these old friends again.

Finding out this book was about Brock I was like yay!
Even if I am still holding out hope, for a Katie (the striper/physic) book one day.

I went it as blind as I could, and I loved it. Jillian and Brock are amazing. And yes it is a little weird having a heroine named Jillian, and the same nick name I call my own daughter. But once I separated that from this book it was just awesome.

Pasts collide, and hearts are broken. But they heal and so does the past. This book really was about your inner strength and what you are capable of. I loved how Jillian fights to pick up and have a life after her past; she was kind of living in limbo for a long time.

Brock seems to have grown up from where he once was and I think he came to terms with things long before coming back into Jillian’s life. Sure he wasn't 100% there because I think we was looking for Jillian’s, not approval but maybe a little of her forgiveness. And once he feels he had that he was all in.

I loved Rhage! I mean really he is totally one of my favorite Brotherhood Brothers and for the cat to totally be called Rhage. Love, Love, Loved. Also being that I am a total cat person, and I talk to my cats like they will talk back I love that Jillian does this a lot in the book too.

I was a little leery of a new narrator after listening to Dreaming of You, and not liking that audio. I thought maybe this was going to be like that because I was used to Sophie Eastlake’s narration of this series.
But I am so, so happy to report that Erin Bennett hits a home run. At least for me she does. She can do the male narration effortlessly; I love all the voices she did for the rest of the female characters when they were in the same scenes. I recommend this audio!
Well worth the credit.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Couldnt listen to this narrator..arghhh

What disappointed you about Fire in You?

Narrator was horrible.

What could Jennifer L. Armentrout have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I'm sure the story is as good as the others in series but they killed it with the narrator, they should have stuck with Sophie.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Erin Bennett?

Sophie Eastlake

Fire in You

I've read every book in this series and I'm glad to hear that Brock and Jillian finally got together. I enjoyed the series immensely because of how the characters over came so many obstacles in their life and found someone who understand them. It's what we all want in life to find the other half of ourselves.

Why the narrator change?

Sophie Eastlake knocked it out of the park, so the change in narration made this book fall short for me.

I love Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Her books NEVER disappoint. Her story's provide enough angst and subsequent personal growth and lessons learned on roads traveled to lead to a HEA ending. Always great reads!!

Where is Sophie Eastlake?????

Would you try another book from Jennifer L. Armentrout and/or Erin Bennett?

It's very distracting when a series changes to a different narrator. I love the stories in this series and love Sophie Eastlake and her ease of different voices and her timing. Ms Bennett is not a horrible narrator, but I found her male voices awful and because I listened to the whole series and voices from another narrator, it's just difficult to get through this book.

Love It!

When I first heard the different narrator, I was skeptical. Once I realized the difference in time-line, the different narrator made all the difference. When I heard the first quote at the beginning it kinda through me off, However, by the end, the final quote put this one over the top for me. it's the first book in this series with random quotes, but I LOVE how the author puts them into play. I've listened to all the books in the series and will happily listen to them again. Great Author

The story might have been decent, because Jennifer Armentrout Is my favorite author, but this narrator ruined it.
