Publisher's summary

Jules Montgomery is too busy and content with her life to worry about a man, especially one Nate McKenna. If growing up with four brothers has taught her anything, she knows to stay away from sexy men with tattoos and motorcycles. That goes double if he's your boss. During the one incredible night they shared, he violated the no fraternization policy...among other things, and it won't happen again. Jules won't risk her career for mind-blowing sex, no matter how much her body and her damn heart keep arguing with her. Nate McKenna could give a shit about the no fraternizing policy. He wants Jules and he'll have her.

The rules could bend around them, or be damned. He's not a man to be taken lightly, and Jules Montgomery is about to find out just how he responds to being pushed aside after the best night of sex he's ever had. She can fight all she wants, but he'll have her in his bed in the end. Fight With Me is the second novel in the With Me In Seattle Series.

Good book if you can stand the narrator

The narrator is the breaking point for me. She does a wonderful job with the female characters but not with the males. I just couldn’t listen to her butcher the male parts so I skipped to the end.

The Voice

The reader’s interpretation of the male voice bothered me but I hung in there for the purpose of wanting to know the ending.

Romance plain and simple

Our hero Nate: rich sexy perfect mix of badass and success
Our heroine Juliann: smart sexy and kick ass I. Her own right

High powered lawyers, boss and employee, hot sex and deep connection. Truly these two are a perfect match and they have the smarts and money to make this work no matter the obstacles.

This book is hot and fun, the only reason it gets four stars is that it’s almost too perfect. The struggle is reduced to simple misunderstandings because that’s all there is. Of you need a feel good but hot and heavy contemporary romance then look no further

Once again sweet but repetitive

It’s just nice story that’s why I kept listening but it’s much like the first book where a lot of the scenes especially sex scenes are pretty much the same the same words are being use the same gestures it’s heavily repeated from what happened in the first book when it comes to sex scenes I kept listening for the story because it was cute. This book took the notch up just a bit adding it time a little kink in there. Nothing to sigh about but it was all right

I'll never be able to disassociate Girl on fire

by Alicia Keyes to this book. Why, you ask? Because everytime, literally everytime they had sex, the heroines internal monologue would include "his grey eyes were on fire". EVERYTIME. And everytime I'd hear "This. Girl is on fiiiiire" 🤣🤣

DNF @ 60%
Anywho, this was meh. Started out so good. Like had so much potential. Then absolutely nothing happened except them having sex and don't get me wrong, that's a prereq for me (truly I want a sh*t ton of sex), but this was super vanilla, rainbows and butterflies "your eyes are so beautiful baby" kind of sex and thats just not my jam. If you're into 100 scenes of sweet love making, you've come to the right place.

There was little to no drama/angst/conflict and the events that should've been were resolved in like 1/2 page. (Up to the 60% mark anyways)

Still gave it a 3 because the ingredients were there, the execution was just lacking. Also, I love this narrator so she helped pull it up also.

Not

How can you take a child-like voice seriously in a steamy sex scene. This ambiguity was disturbing. Wasn’t there another narrator available?

Same as the first book

It’s essentially the same as the first book, but gender-reversed.
Still a good book if you didn’t listen to the first one.

It's a porno "more sex than story"

Narrator did a great performance. Story is one dimensional. For a forbidden romance it had no tension or good plot elements.

Good Read!

I usually do not read or listen to romantic, raunchy, love stories, but this book was tasteful. I like how the end of the book introduce the next book interlocking previous characters.

I enjoyed this 2nd book of the series!

Oh Jules and Nate! Now, I definitely liked this book better than the last. We met this couple in that book so it was fun to see their story and see what was going on with Natalie’s best friend Jules. I liked how alpha Nate was. He’s a tattooed, sexy businessman who covers up what he’s got by day and Jules sees a new side to him as things heat up. I enjoyed their banter, the things they had in common and the ease they had with each other. I wanted things to work out for them! I also enjoyed how we still see Natalie and Luke so we know what’s going on with them as well.
