Dark, Romantic, Suspense

Who was your favorite character and why?

Christian, I liked his tough side, but his tender side when it came to Anastasia

Great book & story, Horrible narrator!!!

Where does Fifty Shades Darker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have loved this serious for years, I have read them many times, but this is the very first time I've listen via audio book. The narrator is so boring and makes the story very dull and unexciting. Her "Male" voices are absolutely horrible plus her voice of Anna makes Anna seem so monotone and boring. The book was completely ruined for me because of this lady's narration. PLEASE RE-DO!!

What other book might you compare Fifty Shades Darker to and why?

Crossfire series,
The Hacker series
Although I have read all of the other similar "billionaire dominate" books and still like fifty shades the best.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Her "Christian Voice" was horrible
She made Anna seem boring and emotionless.
She was extremely monotone, it felt like she wasn't into the book at all. Just reading it to have a narration behind it.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When I read it in paperback yes!
But when listening to this audiobook, not not at all.

Need a strong man's voice

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Darker to be better than the print version?

No, I can think of a voice for the man that works with the book. If you are telling a story about a young powerful man the voice should match. I bought all three books in paperback and because of my eyes I couldn't read the small print. I let my friends read them and I ordered them on Audible. When they heard the voice of Christian all said it took away from the story. I was stuck with the voice but have hopes you will revamp the voice of Christian and offer us on Audible the chance to download a better version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades Darker?

When she walked out and showed her strength.

Good for Anna..her voice...

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No,I have listened to all three over and over again.I find I missed parts of all of them. Re-hearing them has been very enjoyable.

Christian coming clean on his torments.

What about Becca Battoe???s performance did you like?

I read all the bad reviews of Becca Battoe's narration. Perhaps it's my inexperience with this genre but I thought she did a fabulous job given the number of characters. Anna is an oft-irritating childish, nagging juvenile, and Becca nails her. But I think her coverage of Christian is the best of all.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nothing extreme. Found the story line fairly predictable, but still oddly intriguing.

I don't read this type of book normally but made an exception because it's become a cult phenomena. Had heard it was porn, but it's not. It's a high appetite quasi-erotic tale following a fairly predictable, unfolding relationship. Christian Grey's complex and unfolding character is the biggest hook.

Loved it. Quite entertaining. Kept me going back for more. I'll listen to it again.

Maybe to the author. Yes to the narrator.

The storyline is predictable but the subject matter is interesting.

Voice over?

When the woman does the voice of any men in the book, they all sound like clowns.

It a really good book, so descriptive and the narrator do an excellent job, emphasizing and reading perfectly! I'm happy with this audiobook ;)

I saw the movies before reading/ listening to the books!! I love that the books give more details about the relationship before them!!

I love this book. It’s my favorite of the series. I love his version as well but this one is still great.
