People who don't find wimpy, self-doubting female characters to be insufferable.
I'll try the third book. I have to complete the set.
After these three books, no. Never. Most characters sounded like bored teenagers. Her interpretation of all of the characters was incredibly immature. I found myself pausing to reinvent the voices of every character. I confess to wondering if I might have tolerated the book better had I read it myself instead.
I found myself rolling my eyes every time another vanilla sex scene came up. I could have done with less of that, and more action. It was all so shallow.
I can see why it is popular. If you are looking just for smut, go elsewhere. This has some very erotic scenes, but they are a tasteful part of a story of true love and personal growth that should appeal to nearly everyone.
Ana Steel - the main charactor
She was fantastic at bringing the different characters and their moods to life with her delightfully talented voice.
When Christian showed up at their apartment while everyone had been worring about his whereabouts.
Can't wait to read the next book!
addicting suspensful fabulous
Probably in the 3rd book - gun scene.
When he said "I love you"
I had to drive 17 hours do southern California, and this book kept me awake, alert and out of a ditch! :)
Absolutely, can listen all the time
Fifty Shades of Grey and Freed
Listening to her was very entertaining
All three were great.
Love books and love to put in my two cents' worth
I read volume 1 out of curiosity and found it reasonably diverting so thought I would try the audio version for volume 2. Not a good idea. In part the book just does not lend itself to being read aloud -- all those email exchanges are unbearably tedious to listen to (from: to: subject:). And the narrator is completely unsuitable, sounds like they grabbed some girl at random from a high school parking lot. Her male voices are headache-inducingly awful and incompetent, the main guy sounds especially ridiculous, she can't even sustain the same voice for more than one sentence, so you have no idea who is talking. It would be better if she had just spoken in her normal voice. Maybe she's secretly a feminist offended by the book and trying to put us off it? That's the only theory I can come up with to explain this terrible performance.

Ana stading up to Elena.
Her narration was really good.
It made me laugh, brought me close to tears (but I'm emotional), and it made you really feel for the characters.
This is the best of the 3 books. I've read them several times and listed to the audible. LOVE, LOVE, them....
Sexy. Deep. Engrossing.
The end of the book.
I loved all of it.
I bought this series because of all the hype and good reviews on my FB feed, well obviously my FB friends don't read very often or read good books or something. I even am a fan of some fan fictions this was awful and I truly had to trudge through the series. I kept going because I thought, this has to get good somewhere.
Sadly I purchased the whole series
Irritation at the repetitive nature of every character
Tell us about yourself!
I rated the first book in this seriers as average. The first book included quite a bit of sex. I guess it had to in order to describe the world the main character lived in. This second book is much better. It has more plot than sex. I actually looked forward to listening to it. I have recommended the book to others but did explain that the 3 books seem to be a developing plot that gets better.
I love a good book...
This book has an interesting story line, but it is interupted too often because of a provocative sexual encounter. It is distracting. Sometimes these scenes go on for about 20 minutes while the interesting part of the story just waits...and waits...
