The continuation of 50 Shades of Grey. This book was great and I finished it in two days because I couldn't turn the audio off. Now I am listening to the third book.
Honestly it was a little hard to imagine a guy acting this way. Not that i wouldn't mind a guy acting like this for me. The brief insight about his emotional maturity made it a bit more believable though so I guess I wouldn't change it too much. The cliffhanger part was a bit too predictable, not sure how I would change it though.
The story could have ended there for me, though I'm glad it continued.
Anastasia of course.
I want to say a more believable guys reaction but then again that might not make it romantic enough ;). So I will say given Christian's background as explained I think it's good as is.
I would have liked this and the other story to give some glimpse into what Christian was thinking at times. It was also a bit long winded like the last one but again the email banter was humorous.
A better book than the first one. The story line is getting expanded and keeps getting interesting. Worth listening to.
I am the definition of a contradiction. I am a tomboy but just can't seem to get enough of romance books!
Once again before buying this book I read the reviews. I saw alot of negative reviews, there were hints that the audio wasn't as good as should have been expected. I didn't have any issues with this though, loved the story and the narration. More hearts and flowers in this book. My most memerable moment was when Grey did the 180 and dropped on his knees to assume the role of a sub!, I was left wondering wtf? But of course he is 50 shades of fucked up!, Looking forward to the conclusion looks like Ana is going to be the damsel in distress!
the love story was breathtaking. makes one want that deep complete love. the compromises, the earning of trust, finally giving oneself to a person completely.
I do not care for her trying to immulate a mans sultry voice. became irritating. she is my only complaint.
I enjoyed the story.
Yes, she did a good job with all the characters. But Anastasia sounded like she was a 15 yr. old.
This will make you tired of pornography.
Love (Most definitely). Truth, and understanding.
I like how Anna loves Christian unconditionally. Although, he loves her just as much, he has a lot of issues, baggage as Anna puts it in the story, and I don't think even I would trust most of what he says to her at times.
I also like how he finally comes clean with Anna, giving her something more to think about on whether she can trust him to stay devoted to her.I like how he proposes to her, that took not only her by surprise, but me as well.
Also, although it frightened me, I like how he disappeared off radar while flying the Charlie Tango on a business trip. That had me on the edge of my seat waiting along side of Anna and Christian's family as they waited news of his hopeful return.
There are so many scenes that I loved about this story that I"m sure I've missed explaining here.
But I liked how E.L. James ended it with Anna's old boss out to get the sexy Mr. Grey. It makes me dread the wait until I can download the last book.
I think that would have to be where she gave him the key chain that lite up and gave him the answer that he so longed waited for.
I'm glad that E.L. James didn't give us a glance early on about what she was thinking of giving him for his birthday.Although, there were many favorites to this story, this one was the best...I think. lol.
Yessss! Even with my confession of every day life getting in the way of listening or even reading this story, I found myself completely immersed in these two books, and I can't wait to get back to listening to the last book.
Only what I said before in my comment of the first book, and that I highly recommend reading or listening to this awesome trilogy.
I am a new listener to audio books and I am loving every moment of it!!
The performance was impeccable, intense, and fabulous..
My favorite had to be Ana, just in her growth as a women was incredible to hear.
Christians reaction to his family along with Ana's after he finally arrived home to Escala after Charlie Tango.
Yes!! I definitely cried, more or less sobbed.
I can't wait to listen to it again!! I will be very soon. Such great writing!!
Not the audio book, but the paperback, yes
The characters dynamics
Not a thing. The narration was weak and made the book come off cheesy. Inflections were in the wrong place and it it hit the ear wrong making it hard to stay interested.
I dont see how they could
Goog book for someone already interested in romance novels but not for the faint of heart.

"Fifty Shades Darker" by E.L. James was the second in the series and as the first novel this one too held my undivided attention till the end. There will be so many twist and turns that goes on between these two people...Anna (Anastasia and Christian. This author really has the writing ability to keep us on the edge of our seat with all that is going on. Its really a 'heart pounding novel.' As you read you will find out this whole story is not only about the sex. It is not only a wonderful and but yet sad story. I can't hardly wait till the next novel because I know it will tie this story all together. So, with that being said I am starting on the last one now!
