    "Good book!"
    Any additional comments?

I did like this book. Maybe a little more than the first. There were only a couple of things that were annoying. The book's literature is still annoying. It repeats many of the expressions Ana has like here "inner goddess" "oh myyyyyy" "how erotic" etc. Ana also gets wayyyyyyyy more annoying. She tries to "stand up for herself" but she does it at the wrong time. She does it when Christian has already given her an explanation on why not to do it but does it anyways. Which steer some consequences or drama into the story. It is like a child defying their parents when the parents know something is wrong or bad might happen.

The good thing about this book is that it does have drama and you do see a coming to age I guess is what you would call it toward Christian. Another great thing about this book is it picks up where the first book left off. So in the beginning of the book you are aware and not distorted. The drama gets pretty interesting but the book is pretty predictable. What you think might happen next is more than likely going to happen.

The performance was okay not the best but not the worst. Her accents are pretty bad but when I was picturing the book at least I altered their voices so it didn't affect me too much.

Other than that I couldn't put the book down. I wanted to know what was happening even though I wanted to slap Ana.

    "Changed my mind."
Where does Fifty Shades Darker rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Fifty shades trilogy is the first book series i've ever read in audible.com I have no comparison

Would you be willing to try another book from E. L. James? Why or why not?

As far as i know, she only writes these 3 books.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I love Becca's chirstian's tone. It's exactly how i would picture christian's tone.Dislike:THE SEX PART. It gets old really quick! She repeats the same tone in almost every sex. Oh my, kisses my inner thighs, same wheeze and sigh. And honestly, it's too slow, my ear hurts

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    YES

    Any additional comments?

Seriously, can a novel has too much sex? Too much unimportant description? Regrettably, i have to say my brain burns because of this. I was very excited when I read the first novel. I get crazy very quickly. HOWEVER, the sex gets old! Just in my humble opinion, Erika uses too much description for something that has been repeated a thousand times. For example, when Christian started to kiss her again for the zillion times, she needs to describe how it feels ALL OVER AGAIN, with similar word choices that is burning in my ears.

Okay, i believe some of you would feel the same. Sorry for grammar errors

Would you consider the audio edition of Fifty Shades Darker to be better than the print version?

    Absolutely!!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades Darker?

Again... it is very hard to say, it was completed all in one go. Could not stop listening.

Have you listened to any of Becca Battoe’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She is just the best narrator! I will look forward to listen her other performances.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

    Unconditional love!

    "Meh"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No. This book could've been cut from the series and not been missed much at all. The plot line was weak. The sex scenes were frequent and a bit over the top. I spent most of this book wanting to slap the hell out of the heroine. I realize the character is young, but GAWD, does she have to be so whiney????? The only repreive to this book was the last chapter. Although it really didn't fit into the rest of the book at all. I was left wondering if it had downloaded properly. Had to check the hardback version to be sure. I loved the first book. It was the only reason I was able to get through this one and also the promise from friends that the third book had many more redeeming qualities. My honest yet humble opinion, read the first and last chapter of this one then just move on to book 3, 50 Shades Freed.

Would you ever listen to anything by E. L. James again?

Yes, I enjoyed 50 Shades of Grey and 50 Shades Freed quite a bit.

What about Becca Battoe’s performance did you like?

I didn't care for her at first, but she grew on me. Her performance got better with each book.

Was Fifty Shades Darker worth the listening time?

Not at all. I think the author must've had some serious sexual issues going on while writing this. Not sure if she was over sexed or not getting enough, but either way, it showed in this book.

For all that the writing is a bit childish, it has it's moments of bizarre fascination. Becca Battoe's voice really highlights all that is wrong with the book, so that's a negative. On the positive side, there is something engrossing about watching these two characters come together despite themselves.

    "60 second review: Book 2"
    Any additional comments?

Let me first say, I've listened to the entire trilogy in less than 7 days.

Battoe did a much better job on this narration than the first book. I've noticed slight modifications that makes this book a bit more tolerable to listen to. The man impressions still lack a great deal, but she gets her tone slightly to baritone. However, like I mentioned in my Book 1 review, she shines in the explicit excerpts because that is truly how the main character, Ana, is- slightly annoying, naive, inexperienced and whiny.

This story is really a bridge in between the initial meeting (which ended abruptly enough that James literally took one story and sold it into two. This trilogy, to me, is like a Twilight gone less Gothic and more dark and sexual. It's sweet and annoying at the same time.

No stopping here, Book 2 is the half way point.
