Publisher's Summary

As soon as she steps off the train into the hot western sun, Charlotte Rose wonders if she has made a mistake. Leaving Boston to take a job as the schoolmarm of the small town of Weston, Arizona had seemed like a good idea, but the man sent to fetch her from the station almost changes her mind. The handsome but uncivilized brute who introduces himself as Max Harrison not only calls Charlotte by her first name, he even demands that she change her outfit.

Her humiliation is complete when, after ignoring his advice to put on something more suitable for the summer weather, she faints from the heat. To her utter shame, Charlotte is forced to endure being undressed down to her underthings to cool down, and worse still, Max warns her in no uncertain terms that any further foolishness will earn her a sound spanking on her bare bottom. Yet somehow, despite his threat to chastise her in such a barbaric fashion, Charlotte cannot deny that being in Max's presence sets her heart fluttering like nothing ever has before.

Though she may be the feistiest woman he has ever laid eyes on, Max finds himself longing to see more of Charlotte - much more, in fact - and when he discovers that she feels the same way, he sets about courting her. But Weston is a very different place from Boston, and Max makes it clear to Charlotte that he will do whatever needs doing to keep his girl safe, even if that means taking her over his knee for a good, hard spanking as often as her behavior warrants it.

Charlotte's love for Max grows deeper with each passing day, but she cannot help wondering if he sees her as nothing more than a silly girl in need of his constant protection, and matters come to a head when a violent, hateful man with a grudge against Max seeks to disrupt their lives. Will Charlotte's pride be her undoing, or will she finally get the chance to prove herself to Max?

Publisher's note: Fetching Charlotte Rose is an erotic romance novel that contains sexual scenes and spankings, including domestic discipline in a historical setting. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

"I Don't Like Books With Spanking"

I gave this book three stars because of the spanking factor. Overall it was well developed. The narrator helped move the story along and her voices matched the characters for the most part. Max's voice was the only one I had trouble with. He should have had more of a deep timbre. Overall having to fetch the schoolmarm proved to be extremely beneficial. The child abuse that Max saved Tim from was well written. I liked the story. It is less than four hours but a complete story with no cliffhangers.

    "My favorite so far!"

First, can I just say, I love Amelia Smarts? She writes the most fun loving, intimate, personal books for us to enjoy. This book brings us Max and Charlotte. Charlotte is the new school marm and Max is sent to pick her up. Immediately, the banter back and forth between the two is instant chemistry. And oh, the first spanking! I love the way Max is with "Charlie". He is so gentle, yet so domineering. Charlotte is completely smitten, yet she just loves to push the limit. Whether an argument or a secret, show knows what the consequence will be, yet she still does it.We also meet Tim, Max's apprentice. What a kid! Learning where he came from, meeting his father and their relationship and what Max has offered this young man, you can't help but be in awe. The three are quite a family, and the obvious love they all have for each other is shown throughout all the plot twists and turns(yes, there are several!). The

Ken Solin narrates this story. His voice is perfect for the historical western romance, a better narrator could not be chosen. I can picture each of the characters as he is performing. This book brought a smile to my face, a definite must listen!

    "Blacksmith Max and Schoolmarm Charlotte"

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

Max is sent b the sheriff to pick up the new school teacher. It's the 1800's and Bostonian Charlotte left an unloving father and is looking for a new life in the West. Max is a kind yet disciplinarian type man. He is divorced as she didn't do well in the south. mAll for the best. The couple meet, like each other and eventually prepare for a disruption in her life...which she could deal with.
The narrator has a good voice, easy to listen and feeling.

"Ms. Smart's book brought to life by Ken Solin"

I was so excited to see this book released on Audio and now that I finished it I think the book was great but add the narration and it was awesome!! I love it when a book is so good, that you put the rest of the world on hold, so you can finish your book! The narrator, Ken Solin, was an excellent choice for this story. Charlotte Rose was such a pip and Max had the patience of a saint. Well written characters that you fall in love with.

    Fetching Charlotte Rose

I can't believe I missed the theme in the description of the book. Domestic discipline stories are not my cup of tea, but I will say the building romance and suspense of the conflict with Simon kept it interesting. I'm sure plenty of people will enjoy this.

The narration was ok. The characters were well portrayed by Ken Solin, but in a couple places sentences were repeated. That was distracting.

This story is a historical romance between a young innocent girl from the city who moves to live in a town in the much rougher old West. She falls in love with a very experienced rough diamond. This causes quite a few confrontations. Beautifully narrated lovely nostalgic story of the old West.
