Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation.
Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog! And she has to do it without letting her passenger—the most persnickety, stuffy, devastatingly handsome vamp she’s ever met—drive her crazy. As she and Collin find disaster on the roads, they also find an undeniable spark between them. Could Miranda have found the perfect job and the perfect guy for her?

I like mostly fantasy - Robert Jordan, Charlaine Harris, Jim Butcher, Patricia Briggs, etc.
This book is pure entertainment! Short, funny, & the story wraps up by the end - my kind of book. I laughed out loud & couldn't stop. The main character is hired to drive a vampire cross country & that's where the mayham begins. The narrator adds to the slapstick comments & it works.
Too much of the two principle characters in this story. Little to no back story. Don't see the regulars from other stories in the group until the very end.
On the funny side.
Just the right amount of character to each voice.
Laughed out loud and got funny looks from people around me.
Will look for further installments.
I loved the female lead, she had such back luck it was comical.
She read well, but didn't have enough dynamics in her volume.
I laughed out loud multiple times, Molly Harper has a great sense of humor and infuses her characters with sarcasim and wit wonderfully!
I liked that it followed similar themes from Nice girls dont have fangs series.
the car disasters
laugh a lot
I love Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi. I have bought ever single one of her books and Ronconi always makes her stories entertaining. The lead character is sassy and with all the stuff that keeps happening to her, well, it makes your problems just seem so much smaller. The other thing I love about Harper is that her leads have flaws. They aren't perfect, they develop throughout the story, and they learn from their mistakes. They are also independent strong women that know when to just give into guilty pleasures. Fantastic books and great performance.
All of it, was funny and kept my attention.
She was always in trouble.
Great book, and really great author.
Being a die hard Romance reader - now and then I enjoy taking a break from serious, arduous romance novels to take pleasure in something lighter. Molly Harper never disappoints. Driving Mr Dead will steep your interest and amuse, to say the least.
I enjoyed this story so much that I have since gifted it to many friends, as well as 'The Care and Feeding of Stray Vampires'.
Do yourself a favour and take a delightful trip with Miranda's quick-witted dry humour and Colin's contemptuous dry personality. And journey down this mismatched, entertaining road of charming courtship.
P.S. Amanda Ronconi's narration is faultless in bringing the story and protagonist's to life.
P.P.S. Listening warning - not recommended on morning commutes to work, many LOL moments are sure to beget your embarrassment in public areas.
P.P.S. You will appreciate Post Scripts by chapter four.
Did enjoy the story. Bit different and makes me want to read/listen more From Molly Harper.
