Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation.
Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog! And she has to do it without letting her passenger—the most persnickety, stuffy, devastatingly handsome vamp she’s ever met—drive her crazy. As she and Collin find disaster on the roads, they also find an undeniable spark between them. Could Miranda have found the perfect job and the perfect guy for her?

I stumbled upon the first Jane Jameson book right when it first came out. I loved the crazy quirkiness of the character. The main character in Driving Mr. Dead is just as quirky and honestly even more enjoyable (in my opinion) than Jane's character. The situations she finds herself in are obviously not realistic, but seriously, if that is what you are looking for then this book is not for you.
I am excited that Ms. Harper appears to be expanding this series and introducing us to new characters and cannot wait to meet them.
The narrator's voice was a little annoying to me at first, but I eventually got used to her tone and still ended up enjoying the story and have even listened to this book several times when I am in the mood for a good laugh.
This book had the chance of being good. Unfortunately due to serious bad language and an awful sex scene it did not reach it's potential!
I've read everything Molly Harper has written. I don’t know where she comes up with all of these funny stories. The humor just keeps on a rolling. Are these people she has known in her life or does she draw ideas from old movies?
At first I did not like the book because of the Colin character. Talk about anal with no sense of humor… I liked Miranda the klutz! The truck driver scene turned me around. Then I got into the book. Before then I was stalling out.
This is not one of Molly’s best books but I did enjoy it. I'd bet money that this ends up another series judging from the ending and I will read the next one.
To me Molly Harper sounds like Amanda Ronconi. I think should I ever meet her I won't believe it's her because she won't sound how I imagine. Amanda and Molly are the perfect Author/Narrator combo. The style, the wit, the snappy comebacks and Molly's own special brand of humour. These are books I go back to again and again.
Everything. Amanda is the perfect narrator for these books. It's a performance she has down to an art form.
This was great and I would recommend it. It took me a few minutes at first but when I got use to it I was addicted.
I have listened to 3 of Molly Harpers book and they have all been awesome
The expressions you can tell be her voice what the characters is feeling
Love books, reading or listening, wine and quiet evenings by the fire. Mystery's, paranormal, history and biographies.
Another in the firmament of stars by Molly Harper. Her books all make me smile and some even make me LOL. These books are fun and romantic in totally off beat way with wonderful dialogue and great action. Page turners all. This one offers new fun characters with a little link back to previous books.
New to the audiobook thing, but I like it! I'm a huge Stephen King fan... Along with the spy/military type books by Brad Thor, Vince Flynn
Like all of Molly's books, it's fun and a breath of fresh air. I didn't want the story to end. The characters inner monologs are always a hoot, you never know what she's going to say.
I love listening to Amanda Ronconi, she brings the characters to life. I especially like how she has done all of Molly's books. Can't wait for the next they do together
If you enjoyed this book you must listen to the rest of Molly Harpers collection, they will make you laugh your ass off and you will listen to them over and over again.
I really like all of Molly Harper's books and this one is no exception. Certainly a lot shorter and quicker than her others but I enjoyed it all the same.
Amanda Ronconi seems to be the perfect narrator for the Molly Harper books. Does not disappoint at all.
This is a short story/novella that happens in the world of the Jane Jameson Nice Girl Series. Molly Harper's sarcasm and wit is ever present. It's great to see just a little more of what is happening in Half Moon Hollow outside of Jane.
