Publisher's summary

Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation.

Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog! And she has to do it without letting her passenger—the most persnickety, stuffy, devastatingly handsome vamp she’s ever met—drive her crazy. As she and Collin find disaster on the roads, they also find an undeniable spark between them. Could Miranda have found the perfect job and the perfect guy for her?

I laughed until my stomach hurt. I also frustrated me to no end, well at the end I laughed some more.

What other book might you compare Driving Mr. Dead to and why?

Katie MacAlister's light dragon series. It was clumsy, and serious, and funny all at the same time.

Which scene was your favorite?

When she said him from being killed in the parking lot of the motel by two bikers. Only, to find out his wallet had been stolen.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Then end when he came to get her, because he couldn't leave with out her.

Well worth the credit...

Molly Harper books are a good light read. I don't usually care for narrators who are women, but Ronconi was really good for this series. I actually liked her pretty good. I plan on listening to all of Harpers books, thanks to Ronconi (and Harper's writing of course).

Any additional comments?

I love the way the common thread in the stories is the lovable rogue Dick Cheney. Maybe the Ex-VP didn't really have a heart transplant last weekend, but is instead joining the ranks of the undead in America?

Any additional comments?

Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.

Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.

I really enjoy it when readers with similar reading interests list their favourite authors and series. It really helps me find new authors too follow. Mine are Charlaine Harris, Jeaniene Frost, Jennifer Estep, Faith Hunter, Molly Harper, Ilona Andrews, Kresley Cole, Deborah Harkness, Nalini Singh, Coreene Callahan and Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Danger prone Daphne and stiff upper Brit

“Are you going to tell me, or do I have to whack you with a stick
and see what kinds of delicious candy comes out?”

Fun little novella on the fringes of Half Moon Hollow. Aside from a few cameos from series regulars and a final chapter in town, this story exclusively follows driver Miranda and her vampire client Collin on a jinxed cross country trek. The colorful duo spark off each other with the series’ classic sassy humor. The occasional language and single (and fairly quick) nooky scene are also present. This was a tasty little morsel between meatier fare.

Awesome

Another really good book by Molly Harper!

If you were to tell me that this whole book basically takes place in a car I would be you it wasn't very good... BUT I was amazed at the amount of action and sarcasm that was packed in to this road trip!
I can relate to Miranda - if something can go wrong it will, and always to me!

I can't wait to read more!

OK Listen

If you are familiar with Molly Harper's books you will get the gist of the story better, although it can be read/listened to alone. It was not one of her best, but wasn't bad either.
If you like a little romance with some not so gruesome paranormal, and humor thrown in you may enjoy this story. The narrator does a very good job.
