Another fun romance!

Jinx is a good nickname for Miranda. She's very similar to Jane. Molly Harper writes very similar characters and very similar stories but if you enjoyed the Jane Jameson series you will enjoy this one too. Unless you're bored with it in which case you won't.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Miranda because she is like another Jane Jameson. Things just happen to her that keep you in stiches all threw the story :)

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

I Love her ! ! ! Her voices are unique and real. You can actually believe the characters are there with you. She put the accents whee thwy belong.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

i laughed so hard that I cried :)

for easy, light listening, yes. Always a good laugh...

I have listened to several of Molly Harper's and enjoyed them all.

What does Amanda Ronconi bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She does a great job bringing the characters to life.

Loved this book and the narrator. I'm definitely hooked on this series and am a new fan.

Hilarious and endearing

What made the experience of listening to Driving Mr. Dead the most enjoyable?

The story was very enjoyable and quite funny. The heroine was quirky and endearing. The vampire was quite funny at first, but gradually morphed into your typical gorgeous, fantasy ideal-male character that is so popular in chick-lit. That's a bit cliche but the fun interactions between the two characters made up for it.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi's is an amazing performer. She is definitively a voice actor, not simply someone who read books. She was able to imbue the already vibrant text with inflections and nuances. Her voices and accents are dead on. I was really impressed, and will look for other books she has performed in.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Most definitely. I just wished the book was longer

Funny, light listen

Would you consider the audio edition of Driving Mr. Dead to be better than the print version?

Firstly, I'd listen to this narrator again. The only reason I gave her performance 4/5 stars was because her male impression was almost creepy and it took a moment to adjust to the 'voice' of the male lead. HOWEVER, I'm glad I did listen to this in lieu of reading it because her voice is perfect for the female lead and adds the right depth of quirky goodness.

The female lead... oh Mrs Puckett, you've got a style all your own.

Same as above.. PERFECT voice for the Miranda Puckett.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were several outright laughs and a few I had to stifle as not to wake anyone.

Something to sink my teeth into

Would you consider the audio edition of Driving Mr. Dead to be better than the print version?

The story was little and funny. It kept me laughing and wanted to listen to more.

What did you like best about this story?

The different situations the main character experienced.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The vehicle mutilation. That was really funny.

Too Funny

Would you listen to Driving Mr. Dead again? Why?

I have already multiple times. This story is so hilarious, I love hearing all the trouble that happens to both the characters and how the two of them start to trust then love each other.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Driving Mr. Dead?

One of the most memorable moments for me was when Collin, trying to help, attempts to get gas for Miranda, can't figure out how to open the gas tank and just rips off the gas tank cover. Then he remembers he has no wallet with him and goes back to wait until Miranda wakes up.

What about Amanda Ronconi’s performance did you like?

I really liked Amanda's narration of this story, her inflections and tonal changes are right on with how I imagine the characters would be responding

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Miranda and Collin are in the cellar of the farm house.

Great audible book all around.

De-starching the undead!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Miranda - the main character - is so together BUT things just keep happening to her that make her endeavors fail. It's like bad karma. And now she meets the vampire she is supposed to drive from his home to Half Moon Hallow and he appears to be totally inflexible on ANYTHING. Her way of dealing with him is .....well, listen and find out.

Which character – as performed by Amanda Ronconi – was your favorite?

Mr Dead - Collin Sutherland. He is rigid, inflexible, and totally uninviting but Amanda Ronconi brings this out with her usual style while slowly hinting that there is a whole lot more to Mr. Sutherland than Miranda realizes.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When you absolutely, positively have to get there on time - call Beeline, the concierge service for the undead!

When you see Molly Harper - hilarity ensues. No one but Amanda Ronconi should ever perform this book or any other of Harper's books. They are my very favorite audible team!
