Loved the Virgin River Series. I usually love anything by Robyn Carr & Therese Plummer. BUT....just did not keep my interest. Guess you can only listen to the same ole story lines & charactors so long. It kills me to post this review. Just my 2 cents.

    "Forgive but I couldn't forget"

To be honest I was somewhat disappointed where Robyn put the focus of this 3rd book I would have and expected the focus on Jim and June instead it went mostly on Chris and Nancy and other tragic events I did not like Chris or Nancy and I hoped she wrote them out of the book just my preference. If there is a four book I must admit I probably won't be interested.but I will go back and listen to virgin rivers now just a overall great series.

"Not as interesting as the first two"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I enjoyed the trilogy, but found this last book to be so predicable that it was actually uninteresting. Robyn Carr is a really good writer and enjoyed the narration by Therese Plummer.

Have you listened to any of Therese Plummer’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I have listed to others by Therese Plummer and find her to be very nice to listen to.

Was Down by the River worth the listening time?

I enjoyed the other two in the series, so yes, I needed to finish it out...even though it certainly wasn't my favorite.
