At least it's not read by Juanita Parker

My wife and I are making progress through this series and I don't understand the narrator complaints in the reviews. The Carpathian men in these stories are hundreds and sometimes thousands of years old, yet they are expected to sound English? I haven't liked any of Juanita Parker's performances and what she did to Lucian in "Dark Guardian" was almost a sin. None of the women readers have even attempted to make the men sound like what they are, ancients from Eastern Europe. This is only the second male reading and I hope to hear more.

Love the Dark Series

Would you listen to Dark Symphony again? Why?

This book had a different narrator than the previous dark series books. I didn't like him as well, but the story was great.

Love this story

This is one of my very favorite of this series. Romantic and yet nail biting.

Another good book by Feehan

She writes amazingly unique characters. This one had a really different story line, many secondary characters were very interesting.

Winner

I've been reading this series in order, so I ignored the bad critiques on the narrator. I'm glad I did, as I didn't find him a bad reader at all. Not one of the very best, but certainly I've heard many that were far worse. I found the listening experience pleasant. The book itself had some twists that were quite different from other books in the series, and I found that entertaining. What I could not understand was why this book is priced at almost twice what most of the books in this series of a similar length are priced.

I truly love the characters in this story!

This is one of my favorite books, and the narrator did a remarkable job with the accents and tonality. The characters in this story are complex and relatable. The normalcy of dysfunction...

narrator

keeps engrossed with his voice changing with characters and there's mystery to story and some jokes/humor.

This story is very enjoyable

This book is interesting, buta t the same time is annoying... Interesting because tells how Lucian finds his lifemate – Jaxon. Annoying because Jaxon stepfather is a stalker. He stalke Jaxon all her life, and suddenly everthing was finished? This is the only thing I didn’t like about the story.

Big Christine Feehan fan....

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I've been reading this series for sometime now and always find Christine's dark series intriguing, this book however; is my first audio book so I was a little worried when I read the reviews on the narrator so at this point I really can not complare.

Personally, I did not find the narrator to be as bad as most described. I found the listening experience pleasant and entertaining.

Dark Symphony however; did have some twists in it that were quite different from the other books I have read but I found them amusing and entertaining. Once you get a clear understanding of the story line, the rest falls into place and makes for enjoyable listening.

The book is quite long but over a few days of listening here and there on my Kindle Fire I am looking forward to moving on to the next audio book....

What did you like best about this story?

At first, the story line was a little hard to follw but after listening and getting into the audio; the commitment and the devotion Byron had not just for his lifemate but for her family as well was touching...

Which scene was your favorite?

The love scenes between the 2 main characters are always a favorite of mine...

Any additional comments?

I am an avid reader of trashy romance novels, especially anything that has to do with Vampires. Some days, I can pick up a book and just read, others times it is nice just to leave reality behind and lose myself in the darkness of the unknown....
