Dancing on Broken Glass | [Ka Hancock]

Dancing on Broken Glass

Lucy Houston and Mickey Chandler probably shouldn't have fallen in love, let alone gotten married. They're both plagued with faulty genes - he has bipolar disorder and she has a ravaging family history of breast cancer. But when their paths cross on the night of Lucy's 21st birthday, sparks fly, and there's no denying their chemistry. Cautious every step of the way, they are determined to make their relationship work-and they put it all in writing. Mickey promises to take his medication. Lucy promises not to blame him for what is beyond his control. He promises honesty.

    Story
"Sad, yet great insight into real life situations"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Cancer is not a subject people choose to live with or read about….Top this off with bipolarproblems. But if my friend wanted to really dive into the fragile state of
real life for some people, I think to HEAR it Audibly is the only way to go!!

What other book might you compare Dancing on Broken Glass to and why?

Definitely "Me Before You" by Jojo Moyes and "Out of my Mind" by Sharon Draper

What about Amy Landon and Zach Villa ’s performance did you like?

I really really liked Amy's rhythm!!! I had a hard time hearing Zach many times because he dropped his voice. Then Amy would speak and it seemed twice as loud and clear.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Never! But I couldn't put it down because I wanted to know what happened. It took about a week to finish while I walked.
