Publisher's summary

When Nell Channing arrives on charming Three Sisters Island, she believes that she's finally found refuge from her abusive husband - and from the terrifying life she fled so desperately eight months ago.

But even in this quiet, peaceful place, Nell never feels entirely at ease. Careful to conceal her true identity, she takes a job as a cook at the local bookstore café - and begins to explore her feelings for the island sheriff, Zack Todd.

But there is a part of herself she can never reveal to him - for she must continue to guard her secrets if she wants to keep the past at bay. One careless word, one misplaced confidence, and the new life she's so carefully created could shatter completely.

Just as Nell starts to wonder if she'll ever be able to break free of her fear, she realizes that the island suffers from a terrible curse - one that can only be broken by the descendants of the Three Sisters, the witches who settled the island back in 1692.

Now, with the help of two other strong, gifted women - and the nightmares of the past haunting her every step - she must find the power to save her home, her love...and herself.

One of my favorite trilogy by Roberts.

Reader did an amazing job with this series. I can't count the number of times I've either read or listened to Roberts books. All are worth repeating

Mystical and Magical Must Read Series

This is the first of the series that you will read about three "sisters". Best to read the stories in order so you have background information and a foundation for understanding the stories. Good variation on a common theme of witch craft and black magic. Sexy, strong independent women. Entertaining enough to be a movie or a brief television series. Good mystery, characterization and narration.

Absolutely Loved this Audiobook!!!

I'm into metaphysics's myself. When my mother told me of the Three Sisters Trilogy I decided to try it out, being unsure if my mother's type of book would be anything that I would care much for. I truly enjoyed "Dance Upon the Air". It was a refreshing read. I'm crossing my fingers that the other two books in the trilogy will be at least as good as the first. Happy Reading!!

get past the narrarator, it's worth it

very distracting narrating but Nora Robert's does not disappoint (even if the narrarator does). The story is worth the effort to get past the narrarator.

Three Sisters Island Trilogy

Would you consider the audio edition of Dance Upon the Air to be better than the print version?

The entire Three Sisters Island Trilogy was great. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys the simple plots with the happy endings but suspense along the way. I listen to these in the car as I am driving and have enjoyed all of Nora Roberts books in the same way.

What other book might you compare Dance Upon the Air to and why?

The trilogies are all good because it gives you the complexity of knowing that there is another character that is not fully completed in the first book that will be the focus of the second or third book.

What does Sandra Burr bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sandra Burr is a great narrator. I always look forward to listening to the books she has narrated. She makes the dialog come alive as though you are watching the book at the movies.
