Daddy Dom meets Pretty Woman

The was a fun book to listen to, especially if you like the idea of a working girl finding love. James seemed a little like a Beta Dom rather than the Alpha Dom's I usually find in the DD/LG. Marley has had a hard life and I felt invested in her finding her HEA.

Yes Daddy

I loved every minute of this book. Marley was such a well written character in this book. James was a little weak to me but I think that the relationship he had with his little girl really worked. This book humanized a fantasy relationship and I loved it. The narration was great and overall I just really enjoyed this story. I was given this book in return for my honest unbiased opinion.

This is a very steamy audiobook. One of the most sexy book I have ever listened to. I thought Marley and James the two main characters were believable and a lots of fun. Not your everyday book and entertaining..

What did you like about this audiobook?

Normandie Alleman is a new author I've discovered and I love her work. I've read all her books and was thrilled to find this one on audio. She has a quirky, unique style all her own and I love her sexy lite-BDSM scenes. They're always creative and sizzling hot.

How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?

I thought the Daddy/little girl relationship was sweet and showed a more tender, caring style of BDSM than I usually find. Definitely a must-read and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?

The narrator was excellent and in one scene she even performed the voices of seven women and she did it brilliantly!

Overall good BDSM story-listened to in 1 sitting.

I enjoyed the narrator. She also narrates the Web Master series which I highly recommend. This story was a really good BDSM story but I found it light on the DD/lg aspect. Probably because I have read several of those recently and I like it when that role playing is a bit more pronounced. In this story I honestly felt that if you replaced the word Daddy with the word Master it would have worked just as well in any scene and not changed the context of the scene. That is why I am describing it as light on the role play. Overall very good BDSM story--a bit of a fairy tale with a HEA.

Daddy/ Little Girl storyline not for me.

Firstly this was given to me by the author in return for an honest review.

I love good erotica in all its varieties, and since I had never read (listened) to a Daddy story, I was keen to give this a go. I have to say I got annoyed with how she called him Daddy, so I guess this sort of story is not for me.

The story starts off promisingly but soon started to "irk" me. Having said that the writing is good and the story arc works well, it's just the content of the Daddy/Little girl scenario is not what I am looking for in an erotic book. The actual sex scenes in the most part WERE sexy until they converse and she calls him Daddy.

The narrator voiced the "girls" voice well but I was not won over by her male interpretation. I feel it may have worked better with a male and Female narrator.

Perhaps it was a tad naive of me about what I should be expecting from this type of erotic book as I did sort of know what it was about but actually hearing the words uttered is what turned me off. I am sure people who like this sort of story will find this a very interesting listen.

DADDY SUB-GENRE OF THE DOM/SUB RELATIONSHIP

The narrator did a very good job making it an easy listen. The storyline was basic with no sharp edges or teetering moments. A Dom finds the Sub he wants and makes her a contract offer. It varies of the normal Dom/Sub relationship by narrowing in to the Daddy/Little Girl sub-class.

The execution of the story was surface and simplistic; the characters lacked depth. I never really understood Marley's situation. There's no solid history for the when/why and whats. Same goes with James. He wrote software but that intelligence wasn't played-up in the book. His family enters once but I never get to know them. The scene makes me believe they're a close family but when they don't meet Marley, that weakens my belief. So I don't understand James' history, either.

But all that aside, the here-and-now part is well established. It's a touching BDSM romance with a caring Dom and a willing, if not desperate, Sub. It's playful and smexy.

An uncomplicated, entertaining listen.
