Publisher's summary

Redemption isn't a word Jim Heron knows much about - his specialty is revenge, and to him, sin is all relative. But everything changes when he becomes a fallen angel and is charged with saving the souls of seven people from the seven deadly sins.

Vin diPietro long ago sold his soul to his business, and he's good with that - until fate intervenes in the form of a tough-talking Harley-riding, self-professed savior. But then he meets a woman who will make him question his destiny, his sanity, and his heart - and he has to work with a fallen angel to win her over and redeem his own soul.

Ward did it again!

If you could sum up Covet in three words, what would they be?

Hard, Sexy, Dark

Any additional comments?

Though this series is set in the same city as the BDB there are only a passing mention of vampires in this series. I am betting that J.R. will have paths crossing in the future but it hasn???t happened much yet.
This book has the same hard and dark style as her other works but it is original enough to spark interest. The characters are stimulating and freaking sexy. Ward built a great plot and filled it with characters that you get invested in. She sprinkles in just the right amount of sex to make the books naughty but not so much that you start fast forwarding. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the dark side of fantasy romance

A real surprise

Love JR Wards books but have never heard of this series, OMG I loved it and was so glad I got it. The story of Jim Heron was a real delight to listen to and Eric Dove's voice...well lets just say deep, dark and oh so sexy....the book has a great story line, lots of depth, action and detail.

J.R. Ward does it again!

Any additional comments?

J.R. Ward Continues to be one of my FAVORITE authors!

If you loved the BDB, you will be sucked into this Fallen Angels series pretty quickly. If you haven't read any of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, you may want to start there first.

It's not that BDB and FA are linked, but there are some details that you will not understand in Covet. One of these being what Marie Terese's boss is, and how he knows if people have good or bad intentions.

This book always keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next and is truely unpredictable. It is nice to read something where you don't know how it's going to end until it actually ends.

I am already 3/4 of the way through Crave and am counting the days until my new Audible credits arrive to purchase Envy!

I'd like to tag along with these fallen angels....

Where does Covet rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I enjoyed it, not the best and not the worst. It was a little lengthy at times but funny and most all the characters were very lovable except Devina of course.

What other book might you compare Covet to and why?

Quite different then what I've listened to. No vampires or werewolfs or witches and shifters. Your modern day angel.....

What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed Mr. Dove's performance he is perfect for the male characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Too long to listen to in one sitting but I was able to finish it in a couple days.

Any additional comments?

It's a series and this is the beginning. Jim is on a mission to save 7 souls and this was his first save.

AWESOME READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely I would recommend this book and already have. It's one of the best books I've read in a while!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jim Heron! He's wonderful!

What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?

He was GREAT! He did a wonderful job!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

**SPOILER**
The end when Vin is completely vunerable when they are removing the possession spell. And also when Jim dies and he takes Vin and Marie Therese's hands and puts them together. *tear*

MUCH WORTH THE CREDIT!!!

What did you love best about Covet?

I loved Maria Terese in BDB. Therefore, it was a great way to start off a new series by tying the first book of a new series to the previous popular series by a few lovable characters. It's nice how easily one thing just led to another and boom, a whole new series was created. And besides, you can't go wrong with angels helping the human race.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked Jim Heron and how he adopted a dog that was a friend of all the angels. After all, you know what dog spelled backwards is.

What about Eric G. Dove’s performance did you like?

I really feel for Eric. Concidering the main characters came from a previous series that has a huge following. Everyone who loved BDB had grown comfortable with Jim Frangione. However, this is a new series and deserves a new narrator. Eric is a good narrator and he does an even better job in the second book, so give him a chance, you'll like him.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Everyone deservs to have an angel looking over his shoulder.

Any additional comments?

I like this one and look forward to listening to the next four books.

Get into the story first

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Narrator lacked voice variation, no change in tone and speed regardless of scene or character. Good voice, just lacked that something that makes someone interesting to listen to.

Any additional comments?

It took a couple of hours before the story made much sense and I started to enjoy it.

A must read for all BDB fans

This series eventually ties into the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. It’s a great series on its own but a must read for all BDB fans.

Only downside is they used a different narrator and he’s just not as good as Jim Frangione.
