Willing to chance arrest and jail time, cougar-shifter Sean Fisher wants to make human Lauren Spencer his mate and Christmas is the perfect time to do it. However, on the way to obtain her parents' approval, a car runs them off the road. When Sean wakes up, he's tied up and alone, at the mercy of an anti-shifter group.
Six months ago, Lauren never would've pictured herself with a cougar-shifter, but Sean was everything she hoped for and was willing to risk it all to be his mate. Yet, when a staged car crash tears him from her side, Lauren must reach out to his clan - a clan she's never met - for help before it's too late.
Can Lauren and Sean be together for Christmas? Or will their differences be too much to overcome and rip them apart?

Wonderful bwwm shifter (cougar male) addition to the Cascade series. The enemies are humans that don't want shifter & humans to inter marry... Sounds like Jim Crow & LOVING situation.. I have a slight tiny (hatred for bwwm pregnancy romances) But, Jessie Donovan did an EXCELLENT job making the situation an important part of the series story. Bravo.. I can't wait to find out if the dentist will be allowed to stay once the baby is born.. She will not have shifter DNA in her bady anymore so what will happen??. Will the human justice dept. separate a child from the mother??? THIS IS worth the credit/money.. Thank you Jessie Donovan for inclusion & diversity in you paranormal stories. ..I Will definitely purchase the WHOLE series. BTW this story was a good stand alone and the sex scenes are slightly r rated with some kink.. ( well I felt it was kinky) Still worth a listen but, too short.. Bravo again..
Really enjoyed this novella. I loved Sean and Lauren. Lauren was well able to handle the shifters in Sean's clan and prove she was worthy to be his mate in the eye's of his Clan members. It was a fast moving story due to the length of the novella but it held your attention from start to finish and had you crossing your fingers for Lauren and Sean to win out against the hate group threatening their future! Great addition to the series and I'm looking forward to more stories from this series!
