Narrator

If you could sum up Comanche Moon in three words, what would they be?

I acually liked the story, Hard to overcome the way you are brought up, hating "savages" and "whites" alike. I am am american Native and not so long ago in 2008 there was actually a woman who referred to us as "savages" in this time and age hard to believe! But she was upset over the Native americans opening a Casino....Some tend to forget where they come from, most all came from another country, we are the natives who's land was taken away...anyway that is another story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked both main characters in the book, really seeing each other and being able to understand why each other has the feelings they do.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ruth Ann Phimister?

I didn'tt like her much but I am kind of sensitive in my hearing. She smacked to much for me and I was tempted to refund my book, which I do if I don't like the story or narrator. Long silenes also.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nothing extremme.

Any additional comments?

Think you could have used two narrators male and female for the charactors!

If you loved the book then you'll love the audio..

Would you consider the audio edition of Comanche Moon to be better than the print version?

I think the audio edition is just as good as the print version. A lot of reviewers complained about the narrator, but I really found her to be an excellent storyteller. I remember one review in particular that didn't like the way she read the Comanche words... but in the story, Hunter is teaching Loretta the words... so he would enunciate them very slowly so she would be able to hear the syllables and learn. Didn't bother me at all.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I love all of Catherine Anderson's stories, and sometimes I'm glad I have a long commute to work so I can listen to big chunks at a time :) This is a book I have a hard time putting down!

Narrator is horrible

The story held my interest, so I stuck it out. It was kind of repetitive towards the end though. The narrator’s voice is horrible and it made it difficult to want to finish. You could hear the sounds her mouth made in between speech, and her voice was just too scratchy and high. She sounded like an old lady. I will not continue with the other books in this series.

Beautiful, tremendous story

I was not expecting such a complete, detailed book but it does a marvelous job of representing both the Comanche and white sides of the historical threads of the conflict.
The ending leads the reader to want to pick up the next volume immediately.
The narrator should be commended for her presentation, voice and diction. Very, very well done!

True Love Is Greater Than Race Or Predjudeice

The ordeal Amy went through caused strong protective feelings to rise in me. I liked Hunters wisdom.

Nice idea, but doesn't work.

The differences between Loretta and the comanche are never overcome. There is far too much between them. I will say that I liked the hero a great deal, and I was entirely openminded. I also felt very sad for the reality that is the Native American history. But all and all I didn't buy the story.

A STORY WITH GREAT TRAGEDY & TRIUMP!!!

This story grabbs you from the start right on through to the end which unfortunatly comes all to soon. It is rich in historical details and extremely moving emotions. An amazing listen, one I shall repeat many times.. can hardly wait for the next installment of this Comanche Series. The reader's voice started of as somewhat off putting but I quickly warmed up to her reading style and really enjoyed her. I greatly & gladly recommend this book to one and all who love historical detail , history and romance. I wished this particular story could have lasted for several more hours.
