I absolutely loved this series. Yes, there are problems at times in the writing but the characters are gripping and the narration really good! I am sorry that this is the lost book in the series! It is also the first series that caught my attention and I listened to from Book 1.

A favorite series

I discovered this series not long ago and I'm slowly adding all the books. With some vision problems interrupting my reading, I've gone almost exclusively to Audible books, and those I check out from my local library. I'm excited to add this book to my personal library, thanks to a price reduction. Michelle Sagara has created a strong fantasy world and peopled it with characters that live and breathe in my imagination. Khristine Hvam does a terrific job with the voice characterizations and her constancy in those characterizations from book to book, especially considering the big cast of characters, is amazing.

Kaylin Neya, the main character, is faced with her dark past in this book and watching her grow makes it one of my favorites in the series.

Best one yet! All are great, But this one rocks! Made me laugh and cry get angrgy and get scared. listened to it almost in one sitting.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Belastaia is a good new character. I love the interaction between Belastaia and Kaylin at the end of the novel. I'm looking forward to a great heroine duo in future additions in the series.

Have you listened to any of Khristine Hvam’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, several others. Khristine Hvam does a great job in all the narrations.

This whole series is a great read

Loved every book in this series, It catches the imagination and holds it. The writer proves that you can write a gripping story and hold the readers interest without having to resort to lurid sex scenes or vulgar language (although there are a lot of references to Liontine swears, we just never hear them) I highly reccomend starting at the beginning and going right through the series.

this series is one of my favorites. I have listened to the whole series multiple times. I have re-read it even more times. I will do so again before the next book.

Marcus, Sanabalis, Archon, Tiamaris, Severn, Nightshade, ... oh, everyone.

one of my favorite series of audio books

story was incredible. Narrator was equally as incredible. Did not want to stop listening.. I dreaded the end of this series and still do. Wish this book could keep going on and on and on.

Continuing a Fantastic Series

Even after finishing the 7th book in the series, I’m in no way disappointed. Sagara continues her excellence and Hvam’s narration never disappoints.

Loved it!!

Have been waiting for this audiobook for a few weeks. I love the story, and the narrator does a good job with the voices.

I heard Khristine Hvam actually sat down with Michelle Sagara to plan the characters voices out with the books, and she does a great job. Another narrator that can voice act all the characters so you know who is saying what.

The story is once again very good. One thing I like about this series is you never know what the next book is actually going to be about, though she gives you hints, I thought it would be about the strangers and that egg from what small plots she didn't finish in the last book, and I was somewhat right, but of course that is a small part of the book.

I can't wait till the next one is out, I hope Audible releases it the day the actual book is released.
