Publisher's summary

Ash, Jace, and Gabe: three of the wealthiest, most powerful men in the country. They're accustomed to getting anything they want. Anything at all. For Ash, it's the woman who changes everything he’s ever known about dominance and desire....

When it comes to sex, Ash McIntyre has always explored his wilder side - extreme and uncompromising. He demands control. And he prefers women who want it like that. Even the ones he's shared with his best friend, Jace.

But Jace is involved with a woman he has no intention of sharing. And now even Gabe has settled into a relationship with someone who gives him everything he needs, leaving Ash feeling restless and unfulfilled.

Then Ash meets Josie, who seems immune to his charms and his wealth. Intrigued, he begins a relentless pursuit, determined she won’t be the one who got away. He never imagined the one woman to tell him no would be the only woman who’d ever drive him to the edge of desire.

Book 3 of the Breathless Trilogy

Burn is the final book in the Breathless Trilogy. The first book "Rush" was Gabe's story, the second book "Fever" was Jace's story, and lastly "Burn" was Ash's story. I enjoyed this world given to us by Maya Banks. I've always been wishy washy about her books. I have a love/hate relationship with the author. This is one of her series I would recommend to others.
Ash McIntyre, self-made billionaire, through years of hard work and determination, made it his goal to separate himself from his worthless money hungry family. Ash is known as the cool, down-to-earth guy everyone loves. But on the inside, he's much, much more than that. With his two best friends and business partners settling down with the women they love, Ash is feeling restless & like a third wheel. When Ash runs into Josie while walking thru the park, he knows there's something about this woman that's different. There's an undeniable chemistry and Ash's has this extreme desire to have this woman in his life. He has to make her his...
He wants a dominance and submissive relationship. Josie is the complete opposite from Ash. She is very vibrant & artistic. Some how they compliment each other through out this book. I enjoyed having the characters from previous books play big parts in this book. I've always liked Mia, Gabe, Jace, and Bethany.
I definitely recommend Burn especially for those listeners that like plenty of steamy scenes and dominant males.

Banks is on track here...

I am so glad Bank redeemed herself from book 1 in this series. This was awesome. I just loved it. Smexing was great, storyline was pretty much the same as book 1 and 2 but different. I still enjoyed it. Way Way better than book 1. I think it was better than book 2 actually, plus we meet more of Ash's family and I think there will be a book 4, because we get another billionaire will Ash's sister... Looking forward to it...

Narration was right on.. Adam Paul has really settled into his characters into this one.. it was great.

Great buy if you have the other two, great credit too. I wouldn't suggest this a read alone, b/c you wouldn't really understand the background of Ash if you haven't listen to book 1 or 2. Good sale if you catch it...

Great story!

I so loved this story better than book 1 in the series. It was touching and sad. I would not recommend this one as a standalone. The other 2 books in the series should be listened to first. Maya Banks knocked it out of the park with this one.

Yup it was book 3!

As for the entire trilogy I have to give it overall a 4.0. Not a lot of surprises, the world of these books is rich in detail, mostly plausible scenarios (except book 2), and for the most part imparts the age old knowledge that men really are thick headed...and us women have to keep forgiving them or the earth would no longer be populated.

This book followed the same formula as books 1 and 2....man meets woman, man is oddly attracted to woman...on a primal level of course...man is obsessed with woman...woman is overtaken by mans desire and then man screws up and woman must forgive him...or once again we have the population issue!

Sometimes I really don't like Maya Banks stuff...she is for sure off in her own world and writes to please herself, not her readers...but at least she gets the hot scenes HOT! This book is no exception...and to the person out there who gives a below three star rating because they feel it's pornography with barely a plot...I encourage you to READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU BUY!!!! Maya writes hot...if you don't like reading graphic scenes of submission, Dominance, and pure hot sex...then don't get the book, and stay away from Shayla Black while you are at it too!

The book is under $10, so just buy it.

Sexy but predictable

The story was predictable and the dialogue repetitive but the characters are fun and sexy.

Burn

Ash is the last of the three without a woman but he is knocked out when he spies a woman artist in the park and when he approaches her and talks with her she is just as captivated. When he finds her art in a gallery he is just as captivated and buys it all without her knowing. Soon she is enclosed in his apartment after being attacked by her previous dom but Ash is not going to let that stop him from having her. He has finally fallen, and it appears she has fallen just as fast...until she finds her artwork he had hidden when she moved in. Then she ran. Of course a foe from the past comes back and once again the woman is hurt. Seriously? Of course, all is well by the end and everyone is happy.

Best book of the series

This book had more of a story line and less …. Well you know… less dirty scenes.

WONDERFUL COMPELLING ENDING TO AN INTENSE TRILOGY

Yet again Maya Bank's crafts another well-written awesome book that has passion, hot hot sex, danger, romance, tension, comedy and fills it with the main characters having both sexual and sensual chemistry by the bucket full and the story just seamlessly flowed into an intense action-packed listen. You can't help but become emotionally invested in her characters and the trials and tribulations they inevitably become involved in as their love story slowly and deliciously unfolds.

Ash, an alpha male whose complex, handsome, dominant, filthy rich, controlling, very charismatic and tortured by his past but he feels something's missing from his life - then he sees Josie across the Park and finally all the pieces suddenly fit together and, as their eyes meet, it was lust, and maybe love, at first sight. He was a tender, thoughtful, protective but a dominant lover and that's just how Josie wanted it. That is until secrets and betrayal threatened everything but worse was yet to come as a previous enemy seeks revenge and launches an attack that was shocking and nearly ruined all three men's perfect lives.

Very plot invested secondary characters who brought a lot of fun, drama and depth to the storyline without drowning it. Not really a stand-alone listen.

Worth a credit? Yes it would've been but my 'under $10' rule applied so I just bought it and very glad I did as Ash is both my Forbidden Fantasy and my Knight in Shining Armour and it's been a great series.
